Nike released the championship Lebrons and he didn't even win. If they even made them I can see them being released but if they weren't even in production more than likely no.

I by no means was stating he's super human or anything like that. I meant athletes of his caliber body's are in much better shape and a capable of rehabbing and recuperating better that you and I. It's not as if we've never heard of athletes being "ahead of schedule" working their way back and rehabbing. I was just saying that given the 6-8 week time frame, 8 weeks seems kind of long considering joe smoes like you and I can recover from this without surgery in 8 weeks and surgery is supposed to quicken the process.

Even if that were the case and KDs bones have super healing powers, the NBA season is a marathon not a sprint.
No one is rushing to be back for the early parts of it, risking further injury and missing more significant parts of the season.

I wasn't saying rushing back either. Without surgery it was an 8 week heal. KD being a high level, peak performance athlete, having the surgery (which helps speed up the recovery process) and state of the art facilities to rehab at, 6 weeks seems more like it. If he holds out longer to make sure it's completely 100% physically and mentally then good by him. That's understandable.
The report says he approached the training staff with discomfort in his foot. When I had my Jones fracture it was damn near debilitating and could not put an ounce of weight on it I was in so much pain. Another nter said the same thing with his too. The report makes it sound like he casually walked in the training room and reported the discomfort. If that's the case maybe it's a partial fracture. As a fan you can only hope.

I could walk & jog after breaking my foot, even finished playing. It was the healing process that hurrt likr crap. Everybody, every injury is different. I think those of us not Kevin Durant's foot should just drop whether or not him being a high class athlete, having surgery, having treatment facilities...etc., will have him come back any sooner than its ready.

Just heard them talk about KDs injury on ESPN. Sounds like he broke the same bone I did or at least near it. I just remember my frqcture being below my little toe on the very side. I thought it was just a sprained ankle, until an xray, because I rolled my ankle coming down on my friends foot.

KD should definitely take his time. He has some crazy long metatarsal bones and he moves like a guard so he's putting a ton of torque on those things. Big men often have lingering foot problems for the rest of their careers, but they're slow anyway lol. Take away KDs guard play and he's a skinny Dirk.
