Please don't laugh me off of the internet for making this thread
Now, I'm a young guy who enjoys sports. I'm not like a superfan or anything, but I enjoy the stuff. Football and basketball are cool to me. I played football in high school. Didn't enjoy playing the game (I'm scrawny and weak), but I realized that I enjoyed the game ITSELF. I honestly can't really consider myself a fan of any specific team because I simply never watch enough sports.
It's a problem because I LIKE it. I like being in the barbershop with Sportscenter on and hearing grown *** men cuss each other out over the stuff, and I enjoy going to Fridays or some other "family establishment" and getting faded and watching everybody go ape**** over Lebron and ****, but I'm trying to figure out how to become more "learned" in the subject.
Most people who are fans of sports have been fans since childhood. My pops and best friend are both Jets fans and Knicks fans, and when I was a kid my friends would always come to me at school and be like "son did you watch the game last night?" and I'd be like "WTF were you not watching Rugrats?" So I was never "molded" into that world as a child. I was into wayyy too much other stuff. But when people talk and argue about sports and players I'm never able to contribute to the conversation, even though I'd like to.
So, the question is this: how can I become "more" into sports? I know that a proper answer is to watch the damn games, but I'm literally never home. I work part time and go to school full time and when I'm not doing those, I'm drinking in some hole somewhere.
