I may be going to LA for my boys bachelor party in August. He and his fiancé agreed no Vegas. Any places u recommend? Clubs/strip clubs? Thx.

i'll be with family in Alhambra, so transportation will be no problem

budget is average, i'm not really looking for high end restaurants, just good places with good food
transportation will always be a problem in LA

Lol. Well played. Yes, you need private transportation. That's the way the region was built. Also plan wisely, you want to avoid certain freeways at certain times.

-get tickets to a TV show i suggest: Ellen, kimmy kimmel, areneo

-walk hollywood blvd

-Griffith observatory + hollywood sign view

-Getty museum

- venice beach or santa monica peir

-beverly center shopping

-fashion district shopping

-ice fresh co to say hi to ben barra

-rosco's chicken & waffles

-in-n-out

-midevil times

-pirates

your welcome

Go to West Compton, Watts, Chesterfield Square, Vista, Athens, Slauson, and Westmont.

Wear red or blue.

Mean mug everybody, Los Angeles folks love that.
this,

if you don't do this then it'll be obvious you're a tourist and they will mug you.

lol at NoHo. North Hollywood is trash. Just one contiguous run down strip mall. Prostitutes, drug dealers, and illegal immigrants everywhere

Maybe it is a Valley thing. I wouldn't know. The only thing the valley is good for is parties at rented mansions.

If you're into shopping, everything you could possibly want is on Fairfax or Melrose

Subscribed, taking a 8 day trip to CA, starting in LA (staying 2-3 days) then driving up to SF and hitting spots along the way, trying to keep it a beach kind of trip (with exception to SF). Will do what Chopper said

When driving up to sf make sure to drive up the coast. Hwy 1, scenery is beautiful along the ocean

Thanks, that's the plan. So far, I have hotels booked for Santa Barbara, San Luis Opisbo, Montery, and Santa Cruz, each for one night. Also staying in LA (near LAX) for 3 nights (thinking to hit Rodondo beach, Venice beach and Santa Monica) and SF for two nights (near Union Square).

Mainly going for a laid-back/beach bum trip, but anything I should make sure to checkout?

damn, you doing it right.

hit up State St for sure in Santa Barbara, Monterey aquarium is cool (I like it at least), Santa Cruz is DOPE!!! if you go where the rides are I suggest you take a tall boy from outside bc they'll tax you like $12 for a tall boy of modelo/heineken/etc, wear shades bc booty will be everywhere. when you're in LA definitely check out those you mentioned, you can fit Venice and Santa Monica in one day, try hitting up DTLA fashion district on the extra day. SF, don't make plans just go roam around, trust me you won't see much bc the city is so dope and the day will fly by, just go see whatever is really top priority.

When you're in Monterey take the drive down to Carmel. It's about a 15min drive depending on where you'll be staying in Monterey. Drive all the way down ocean ave. You will not regret it, the beach is amazing. Check out the street view, when the sun is shining it is beautiful.

What did you want to do in SF? You'll be right in the heart of SF so shopping will be easy access but if you want to check out the Golden gate you can go to lands end, torpedo wharf (to see the bridge/alcatraz), there's the pier, fishermans wharf, ghiradelli square, a bunch of stuff. For spots to eat swift through the Norcal Grub thread in the regional section.

Thanks, will do

Honestly no set plans for anywhere, SF included. Think I'll have a car for the first afternoon, so will drive by Golden Gate, then dropping it off and just wondering the city for the next few days. Are most worthwhile spots accessible by foot? Mainly just looking for cool sites to see during the day & fun spots at night to drink/eat (nothing too fancy), will check out the regional thread too, thanks a lot for the help
