Nobody looked at those pictures and bought stuff because it was just regular life not some fashion shoot. Those were mainstream people wearing Urban/Black fashion before the 1980's not models.

I proved you wrong.

No you didn't

I said that the bucket hat was POPULARIZED in the 80s and 90s, meaning that it became more widespread and a general fashion statement. There's no way you can tell me that more black/inner city people were wearing bucket hats In the 70s-80s than the 80s and 90s here. We are talking about the HIP HOP CULTURE

pop·u·lar·ize
ˈpäpyələˌrīz/
verb
past tense: popularized; past participle: popularized
1.
cause (something) to become generally liked.
"his books have done much to popularize the sport"
synonyms: make popular, make fashionable

I understand that you misunderstood what I said though.

Dude I quoted said that Black people got it from white people. Which isn't even true :smh:

Even if it is true, how is that racist?

Because according to FACTS, it's not true

The ORIGIN of bucket hats in the United States date ALL the way back to slavery days of the 1800s
African American slaves wore these hats while working, to keep the sun out of their eyes.

So bucket hats come from slavery, huh bruh?

And you're not trolling, huh?

Majority of the posts I've posted in here consist of data, facts, explanations and pictures. No I'm not trolling

But like I said, I'm not about to argue with people who don't know their history

I don't know about this race nonsense you guys got going on, but gimme a street wear bucket and I'm cool. I'm not messing with the Polo buckets, bland and boring.
