Thread to keep everyone together. Whether you're a closet racist, a Floyd hater/lover,a Pacquiao hater/lover or just another odd ball that shows up on fight night. Keep the discussion and debating in here.

Here's the schedule for the night:

At Las Vegas (Showtime PPV): Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Marcos Maidana, 12 rounds, WBC/WBA welterweight unification; Luis Collazo vs. Amir Khan, 12 rounds, welterweights; Adrien Broner vs. Carlos Molina, 10 rounds, junior welterweights; J'Leon Love vs. Marco Antonio Periban, 10 rounds, super middleweights; Anthony Ogogo vs. Jonuel Tapia, 8 rounds, middleweights; Andrew Tabiti vs. John Shipman, 6 rounds, cruiserweights; Ronald Gavril vs. Tyrell Hendrix, 8 rounds, super middleweights; Ashley Theophane vs. Angino Perez, 8 rounds, welterweights; Lanell Bellows vs. Thomas Gifford, 6 rounds, super middleweights; Ladarius Miller vs. Richard Colas, 4 rounds, welterweights

Thanks for the thread. This should keep some of the BS out if the official Boxing thread.

I'm not expecting any upsets that night. Khan, Broner and May all win decisions.

Really eager to see if Maidana can get to Floyd's body as he is planning to do. Floyd's countering should be a thing of beauty in this one.

Out of all of Money's fights, I think this one will give him the most trouble he's had in a wild.

That said, 46-0. :smokin

Floyd hypes his oppenents more than any other athlete ever lol. Legit makes you wonder if he can get upset but then one round into the match its over

ummm no

Going into this fight with the same expectation as the Broner fight...all I want is one hand that rocks him and I'll be happy  and to see Collazo put Khan down would be great too.

I can never take Maidana serious after seeing him get destroyed by Devon Alexander and I expect Floyd to do the same...

I can see maidana getting a few of the early rounds based off aggression and activity

His first fight at welter? If his resume since then does not impress, then you're one in a million.

Idk if you're talking about Maidana or Alexander but whenever I see Maidana I just think of that fight lol. They both have good resumes tho, I just can't see a way he beats Mayweather

another Gimmie fight. The highest level of boxing is also the most boring now. Sad

Maidana gets the decision easily. HIs right is too dominant, and Mayweather is prone to right handed attacks.

This.

I hope to god Collazo beats Khan so we don't have to sit through Khan/Mayweather :x

Khan going to get his brain scrambled by a collazo left. Luis better put in some body work tho cus khan gonna be letting the hands go

The notion that Khan has a glass chin will go away after this fight. Anyone who saw his bout with Maidana knows the guy can take a shot. May not have the best chin around, but he has a better one than people give him credit for. AND he has a heart of a champion, nobody can deny that.

Again Prescott would've floored anyone with those flush shots he landed on Khan. Those were some widowmakers, but Khan took some HELLACIOUS shots from Maidana in round 10 of their bout. I mean Khan should've been DONE in that fight. But the man hung in there, like a warrior, and finished the fight strong. That fight was bloody fantastic. Khan did his thug thizzle in that one.

If Khan fights intelligently, uses his superior boxing ability, and doesn't let the bout degenerate into a brawl I think he wins this Collazo bout and earns back his respect. I'm expecting an emphatic performance by Khan.

Go get your ******* respect back boy. :smokin

Garcia wrecked him with clipping shots.

Yes he has heart, doesn't change the fact that Amir Khan has a fragile chin. Because he made it thru round 10 vs Maidana (a gift from the ref btw) doesn't mean his chin isn't suspect

I'll concede that the ref def got in the way of Maidana's onslaught in round 10, but Khan still took some hellacious shots.

IDK I think he's taken on some heavy hitters and has shown a ton of heart and a good amount of chin. We'll see what happens on Saturday.
