**Official Lil Wayne Thread ** **No Ceilings 2 drops Thanksgiving**

I love Wayne and all but carter 1 is really not as great as everyone wants to make it seem. Good album but that's about it. Carter 2 is his best album hands down.

Carter I was :smokin

I don't want every rapper to be some concept rapper...Wayne had bars and he spit them well for a nice stretch ....too bad the 90 babies accepted that corny **** and he was never the same :smh:

At no point in his long and wonderful career has Wayne's lyrical content ever been out of sight

This! Never checked for Wayne to give me a great individual project. Just give him a nice beat and then let him rip it. That's why I loved Wayne and that's why he's in my top 10.

So from 99 to 04 he had songs with concepts?

On the block is hot he was rapping about the same **** everybody on CM was rapping about and other than Turk he was the weakest out the crew. On all of his albums and mixtapes a large percent of his music is random off the head sounding stuff. You can probably find a few songs here and there but his music never had that much content.

stopped reading after this

He invented Bling Bling and had the best verse or top 2 on every Cash Money collab

next to Juvi it was always Wayne and thats a fact

Don't sleep on bg
He kinda had that silk the shocker flow but was way better with it

Maaaaan don't put BG and Silkk in the same sentence . B.G.'s flow was top notch til he slowed it don't and started adding more adlibs around 03 or 04. I still listened to him after that, but he just didn't sound as good as before

I've been listing to Wayne since guerrilla warfare, for the 15 years I've been listening to him, I can truly say I enjoyed his whole career, I don't see why people hate on phases of his career, he maintains to stay relevant for nearly 20 years

I agree. I also enjoy his career as a whole.

His worst by FAR
He's never gonna make anything even close to GREAT again :smh:
