Official Vinyl Thread

I don't think we have a vinyl thread.

I've recently been getting into collecting vinyl, and FINALLY got my turntable yesterday. I figured this would be a good place for NTers too discuss whats coming out, what is good quality, bad quality. ETC.

So if my brand new, never opened Black Album and Blueprint vinyls are skipping, but my Because The Internet does not skip at all, it's probably a poorly made vinyl, correct?

The Jay Z albums could also be warped. I ordered some vinyl directly from the label and it was poorly shipped / left in the sun by the delivery guy resulting in it being warped.

Just tried to listen to "Threats" off the black album, and it skipped pretty bad.

Collecting vinyls of my favorite albums has become a new hobby for me recently. Usually only get them from a old record spot in Atlanta. Where do you guys order yours from? EBay?

One of my 1200's finally died. Anyone know any good replacements? I didn't even know they stopped making them a few years ago.

Check this one out. This is what I use at home. It's a perfect 1200 copy. Sounds great and works great too. Also you could look into getting your 1200 repaired. Might not cost too much.

Just got N.E.R.D's In Search Of on vinyl. Virgin (I think) has this "Respect The Classics" series where they repress classic albums, and yea they did In Search Of. It's pretty dope, it's on white vinyl and I'm pretty sure it's 120g. Much nice!

Question though for those with white vinyl. Does white vinyl generally come with "stains"? There's a couple of dark marks/smudge things on mine, and I can't seem to simply wipe them off.
