Wrestling Thread May 5-18 | 5/16 Black Friday for WWE - Stock Price Crashes

that dive off the forklift must've been painful

i'm not crazy about bryan flipping off the turnbuckle when he starts heating up. every time he lands i could feel the cartilage in his knees decrease.

About D.Bryan using the diving headbutt, I think he shouldn't use it. Every time I see him go up to the top I cringe cause I know what happened to Benoit and those dives take their toll.

Does anyone still do the Crippler Crossface? I would've thought someone in the offices would've told Bryan not to do a move that resembles something that Benoit was known for. Dont even think a top rope flying headbutt is effective, if it was, then Snuka and all the other Samoan wrestlers wouldve been doing the move.

What other moves, if any, should be banned? What moves would you like to see that used to be done and would like to see again? I always liked Arn Anderson's gordbuster and spinebuster.
Moves 3 and 2, couldnt find any of him with just doing the gordbusgter.

Hey guys, who's all going Saturday to the ROH show? I might have to sell my ticket.

- WWE.com features a new interview up with Paige about how she became the youngest Divas Champion in history. She talked about what the future holds for her and revealed some advice she got from The Rock:

“I’m just taking every day as it comes. I have goals that I want to reach. In the long term, I want to be on the pay-per-views, I want to have my first WrestleMania match, and later on, I want to earn a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame one day. But I’m just taking it as it goes. I actually got some good advice from The Rock, who took me aside the day of WrestleMania 30, right before my Raw debut. He knew the connection that my family had and how hard I worked, and he said, “I just want you to stay humble and hungry.” Those words have literally been stuck in my head for the last month. Never be satisfied, but always be hungry.”

It's hard to pinpoint which moves should be banned since almost any wrestling move done wrong can cause injuries.

Any variation of piledriver should banned (which is already banned to everyone except a select amount of people I belive).

I love powerbombs but I cringe whenever someone lands on their head but that's more of a botch situation.

Big E botching that Neutralizer :x

Cesaro barely able to lift Arby D for thought underhook Powerbomb :x

- PWMania.com reported that Brock Lesnar may be working this year’s WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view. Lesnar is now scheduled for a two-show feud at SummerSlam and continuing to Night of Champions.

im watching wrestlemania 21 and shelton benjamin was the man in the money in the bank match. it's ashame that WWE wasted all that talent of his. Some guys just don't have the charisma and star power to go along with their skill level.. great match by the way
I think WWE missed an opportunity with Shelton, but there were also many reports that Shelton was very unmotivated, which halted his career growth.

Yea I didn't mind Kane's title run back in 2010, cause it was very well built, even if most of the matches stunk. Plus, he was it legit monster mode even without his mask. There's no way to take current Kane seriously. Not too long ago he was in a suit, and not too long before that, he was doing comedy. And that mask looks stupid.
For the record... Kane is very underrated as far his career goes... He's been there for 17 years now, and I can't remember any long injury absences... He's been there second best big man the entire time, and could put on good matches when needed... He was legit scary as a kid to me, that casket fire at Rumble legit shook me as a kid... And I think I was 9 and knew it was fake lol...
Yeah, I'll disagree and say that Kane has always sucked.  And he's been part of some of the dumbest storylines in WWE history.

very true. I don't get it. you get to the big show. and them don't wanna work. what's the point.

Give it to HHH for Reigns to take at Summerslam

Brock should not lose until WM31 at the earliest . . .

It's impossible to say what they'll do with the title until after the results of Bryan's neck surgery today.  There are many in the company that are optimistic he will be back in time for the Money in the Bank PPV in late June.

If he is stripped, I would want Brock to take the title.  I don't care if he has limited dates.  He doesn't need to be on Raw.  Heyman can speak for him.  He can work the PPVs, and beat all challengers.  Daniel Bryan should not face him until WM31, where Bryan could then win the title.  Bryan was MUCH hotter chasing the title as opposed to when he actually became champion.

While this is true, you said it yourself, Kane sucks. The storyline literally sucked all the momentum he had after Mania.

I think Punk's reign wasn't that enjoyable as he didn't really have any good rivalries and I feel like Bryan's will suffer from the same fate as that, and even worse actually.

Since there most likely won't be any match pertaining to the world title, what do you guys think about the main event being a unification of the IC and US title? Or just an IC title match?

Think it will help bring back that prestige? Or wont help at all
Wade Barrett and Sheamus in a PPV main event with 2 weeks build?  C'mon.

Shield v Evolution is the main event of Payback.

Obviously that's going to be the main event.

I was speaking hypothetically and from a booking standpoint. Do you believe that would bring some sort of prestige back to the IC title?

Exactly. And you can't help but think that they are giving them these garbage feuds as some sort of a test. To see how much **** they can eat. HHH got the same treatment after the MSG incident
