Going to Philly with some friends as soon as finals are over to go see Kaw's exhibition there at the Penn. Academy of Fine Arts

http://www.pafa.org/kaws/

I was wondering what some good restaurants were around there to eat.

I was thinking cheesesteak but that just seems so cliche.

What are some other places to go sightsee?

Also, if anyone's been to the Kaw's exhibition, I was wondering if you're allowed to take pictures?

Thanks in advance.

To be completely honest, the only thing Philly really has going for them is their cheesesteaks.

Go down there, get you a original cheesesteak, B. Maybe hit up a Phillies game

Whenever I'm in Philly I go eat at El Vez. Joint has some bomb nachos and it's in a cool / hip part of the city.

there's more to Philly than just state property and ish kabibble

Op how old are you?

Brunch: green eggs in south philly

Dinner: (tons of options) my favs: Mercato (a byob), le viet, el vez I hear is great, barbuzzo.

Happy hour: la scala on 7th and chestnut

Sightseeing: I hear people like the love letters tour. If you want to take pics of the famous love sign, go to the one on upenn campus (it's bigger and less crowded).

Live music: time restaurant.

I'm confused......... didn't the laws exhibit end in January 2014? and now its just the laws statue on the outside of the building?

Any info would be appreciated, going to Philly for the Jay concert in July and would love to see this

El Vez is the ****!

If you love food, you HAVE to hit up Reading Terminal Market. You'd be doing a serious disservice to yourself if you leave the city without going.

Also, Pizza Brain has great pizza.

Sabrina's for breakfast

Lolita for Carne Asada.

No joke, Philly is a real cool city. I go up there a few times a year...

*edit* The cheesesteaks are overrated...they're good to eat once just to say you've done it, but I doubt you'll have a craving after you finish.

Yea I think I got it wrong as well.... The Kaws exhibition ended on Jan. 2014 but on their site, it says "Born to Bend" is until Jan 2015.

Im thinking the "Born to Bend" is just the big green statue outside.... I think imma call and ask.

stupid things said award for the day goes to you

Theres tons of stuff to do in Philly. If you're into the museum scene then check out UPenn's museum or the Mutter Museum.

Honestly when it comes to cheesesteaks you can get just a good of sandwich at a local deli. Pats and Genos is just HYPE. Its all about the bread when it comes to a cheesesteak.

If its a nice day, walk along Penns Landing and stop at a local restaurant there. There are TONS of fantastic restaurants along the water.

I'm not sure if there is any kaws work inside the building.

And as stevielips stated, the best steaks have good bread. I like tony Luke's for steaks. I'm not really crazy about cheesesteaks though, I've maybe had 5 or so since I moves here in 2010

Jims Cheesteaks,Lorenzos Pizza and Fat Tuesdays :smokin

That pretty much sums up South St; it's like a potluck of every culture in the city

Went for a run on South St. on an EARLY saturday morning a few months back. You really gotta watch where you're stepping after a Friday night.

Mitchell and Ness - I can spend hours at this store.
Ubiq - I've been all over the world and this is a top 10 boutique
