Gotham (TV Series)...Series concluded...

Did you actually watch Gotham?

  • I did initially, but then I stopped.

  • Nope.

  • I watched every single episode.

I liked the Flash pilot a lot. It didn't dance around the issue of his identity with certain people like it did with Arrow for awhile. Hopefully they don't make him too much of a simp and have love triangle stuff annoy viewers.

Another thing that comes to mind is yall really shouldn't compare Flash and Arrow to Gotham anyway. It's not a superhero movie. Probably why it's on FOX and not the CW. Different genre of a show.

Replay probably this Friday unless you got satellite and the FOX channel in 3 different time zones.

I will say I didn't like the young Selina AT ALL in this. Especially viewing the death of the Wayne's and not doing anything and then showing up at Wayne Manor entrance on some weird stalker steez. Just not interested cuz it's not appealing.

If they take huge liberties it'd be cool if they killed some of the rogue's gallery early. It is it's own Bat universe with Batman never actually appearing so they could do that.

You wanted her to risk herself getting shot as well?
She was standing on a fire escape like a floor up. She could've jumped on dude's back while he was just standing there. Thomas Wayne would've took care of the rest.

You already know the riddler's character is going to be annoying in every episode.

That's fine, but he didn't need to be in the pilot. The main thing I liked about the pilot was how it looked. I can see this show lasting for a while as long as it's not too focused on Bruce Wayne, because that may get annoying.

Still didn't need to be there, or baby Ivy.
I'm on record saying none of them should've been in it other than Falcone and the other mob bosses.

If anybody was annoying it was this portrayal of the Penguin.

I'm sorry but the pilot stunk. Didn't like the involvement of Selina Kyle or a young Poison Ivy.

Idk, I liked what they did with him. I'm more interested in his rise to the top than I am in Jim Gordon

Oh I hated it. Silly portrayal of the Penguin. Dude was really over the top imo. Just too much.

I'm more interested in Gordon's uphill battle, bus specifically Falcone and his underbosses thinking he's weak.

I guess I liked it because it was different. I wished they would've shown Gotham's descent to what it's always known as. Like we already know it's a **** hole, we already know Falcone is a boss. I would've liked to see Falcone becoming the boss or something like that.

I have never liked Donal Logue, I won't ever like Donal Logue.

That hatred duels my bias towards Ryan Atwood though.

I'll continue to watch for 2-3 episodes. The first 10 minutes last night were pretty awful. You kidding me with that pill thing? That whole scene combined corniness, tired machoism, and just plain lack of realism. That dude is crazy, but we just saw him skillfully Gary Payton the other cop's gun out of his holster with poise... he's not going to believe his ******* pills are in a clear bottle Ben McKenzie just picked off a desk and go down that way.

The Pilot was cool.

They ODed on the amount of Batman's villains in one episode though.

Was waiting for some brolic kid with an accent to pop up saying he's Bane.

The Wire cameos of Levy and Rawls were appreciated.

Will be tuning in.

This

It was ok but I expected the show to have a more serious tone with better acting.
Solid cast, will continue to watch.
IMO its better than any episode of Agents of Shield at least

Now that I'm thinking about it, the writers are going to have a tough job to keep people interested. Nobody important from the comics is going to die. We know Gordon will fail, and we know what the characters will grow into. I don't know how they're going to keep this interesting for long.

My whole thing is will Batman ever show up in this? Even if the show was a success I doubt it's going to advance 15 years for us to see Batman Year One at the least

So I say why not kill some of these ppl? Penguin for one. I mean right now the main guy in charge is Falcone and possibly the other mob bosses warring for the top spot. That's why I said why even bother showing the young versions of any of Batman's villains. They're irrelevant. Crete your own continuity.

Thing is if they just approached this as detective trying to clean up a corrupt police force and wipeout crime they wouldn't need to call this Gotham.

I doubt he'll show up. They may smallville this thing and have him show up at the very very end. Things could change if the show gets bad reception and loses viewers. A show about Batman's early years would be perfect. They could spin it off from this. I'd want to see it on HBO though.

Better than a lot of pilot episodes. Will keep watching.

Camren Bicondova looks like Michelle Pfeiffer :wow: or is that just me?
