^Exactly.

Barbara gets mad at Jim for not involving her in his cop life.

He finally lets her in and she's like

and she ends up resenting him and dips out on him......

Only to run into the arms of her ex who's wrapped up in the cop life as well.

how would you place this show among other comic shows.

I enjoy Arrow/The Flash but something has been causing me to steer clear of Gotham. can't quite put my finger on it...maybe cuz its on FOX

I catch some episodes here and there but it's not on the level of arrow/flash due to them already being the main character and having their "powers", while bruce wayne is still a kid

My whole thing is while this is loosely based off the comics it's nothing like Arrow or Flash since it's not about superheroes or powers/abilities.

If they were gonna do a Batman tv show they'd just do one.

Show dipped back down in quality for me with this ep. Hope this fall finale can match the ep where Gordon was about to get arrested.

Fall finale? The show is gonna air every week till late February. There's no breaks bruh, it aint Walking Dead
Maybe yall aint seeing (or paying attention to) the same promo commercials I'm seeing.

First truly impressive episode imo. And I have been messing with this show so far.

EDIT: This episode and the one where you find out Penguin is a double agent snitch are the only truly impressive ones so far.

Damn, they did Jim dirty. Didn't think they'd send him to Arkham but I like that turn in the story. Will definitely keep things moving.

Can't wait to see Morena

Really didn't care this much for the ep with the kids and all that but seeing Alfred put in work and Harvey basically send Jim up the river with no paddle was worth it  :smh: These mob hits are also getting more serious.

quick question, is the story line based on any comic at all or is it just a new script?
It's sort of like the Star Wars prequels. It's being written retroactively using bits and pieces of comic book cannons. Like the drug "Viper" will be improved and eventually become "Venom", which powers Bane. Catwoman appeared in the very first Batman comic and a lot of the Dark Knight hype you're seeing in movies is actually from comic books in the 80's and 90's that basically did the same thing that the Gotham series is doing. They're making the characters more layered, as opposed to "wacky" villains from the 1940's.

The Riddler is an informant for Falcone, and Maroni actually initiated the events leading up to Harvey Dent becoming Two-Face after tossing acid on his face. This all took place in the original Detective Comics.

Selina Kyle, was always been a big factor in Bruce's life throughout the comics, she's even lived with him in some cannons.

Fish Mooney was written just for the show, and has no comic book origin, but neither does Harley Quinn and people still love her.

Batman is one of the most fluid comic books there is...no character except Batman has a definite origin.

1. Alfred is a badass, putting in that work against the assassins

2. Enigma, didn't know there was a nice side to him

3. Fish is getting on my nerves
