Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie (Reboot Announced)

They joined the football team a year after getting their powers. It's not like they were on the team before becoming Rangers. That's like giving props to athletes on PEDS. They better had been the starters after getting enhancements.

The Rangers didn't hang out with anyone else besides each other and Ernie. Those kids were outcasts and losers who grew confidence by being Rangers.
 
I really don't remember anything about the og cast being losers. That has to revisionist history. Just to be sure, I'm bout to watch the pilot right now on netflix

Yea I'm not seeing it. Jason was the teacher of a karate class. Zack was a popular dancer. Bulk and Skull wanted a date with Trini and Kimberly. When they got turned down, they tried to bully and Trini and Kimberly flipped it on them fast. Lol

They all look like cool kids except for Billy.

You're comparing them on the football team after their powers to athletes on PED's yet they had no powers outside their suit. Add to that, Jason had to teach Tommy how to be good at football. Everyone hung out at Ernie's spot and the Rangers were regulars there so I'm not understanding where the idea of them being "losers" in the OG show came from. Zack had a girlfriend, Jason was winning Martial Arts tourneys. It was Saved by the Bell mixed with Japanese sci-fi.

Saved By the Bell = Cool kids
The Breakfast Club = Weird Kids with teenage angst.

This has disrespected the campy nature of the OG so hard

Go rewatch that Football Season episode, the Rangers were jumping 10 feet in the air UNMORPHED catching the football.

The only difference in the movie trailer and the OG is them actually showing the Rangers having super strength unmorphed.

There's no way you're telling me 17 year old Jason was having hand to hand combat with fully armored with a sword Goldar. The Ramgera were enhanced and the movie seems to want to address this fact from the beginning.

The Rangers were already popular before they got their powers. When Bulkmeyer and Scullovic got out of line Zack and Jason were ready to give them clowns hands at any . Skull wanted to smash Kim who was incredibly popular. Trini was cool and Bulk wanted to smash. Zack was getting all of the ladies and the only one he couldn't get was Angela who he eventually got. If they were losers none of this wouldn't happen.
 
Jason look whack. Up be there opening day. Was a huge Power Rangers fan in my day.
Trailer was cool.

They go from 'no thanks, we don't wanna be heroes' to instant synchronization, peppy choreography and slinging corny **** in a minute.
 
Jason benched press 255 a thousand times THREE TIMES in the span of 24 hours :rofl:

Those Rangers were so enhanced unmorphed :rofl:

One of the few things that I do like from the trailer is that they got Kimberly and Jason crushing on each other like it originally was before "I'm constantly losing my powers" boy came around.

...Kimberly BETTER mention a stereo system when she gets in the Pterodactyl for the first time
