So I'm out here in SoCal I get sent movie screening invitations all the time. The emails I get sometimes don't disclose the movie that's being shown, but it said if you get seated you get $10.
My boy gets the invitation too but we decide not to go, it ended up being this flick.
it was my day off too. Even if it ended up being way boo-boo, it was $10 out the door.

The designs of everything in this movie sucks so far. That Megazord? Wtf. That Mastodon Zord has like 9 legs 
and that Alpha 5 looks weird af. I know the original show was cringeworthy but c'mon man smh. I'll wait until this ish hits Netflix

Yeah i've been to a few screenings where I've gotten $10. I saw Rings like over a year ago and got a 10 spot for that and I also seen Undisputed 4(?) and missed that.
I work in Pasadena so I can't ever make the movie screenings anymore as the majority are on the other side of the valley

I seen CHIPS with Dax Shepard and Manuel Pena but only kids under 18 got paid for that one

Most of those showings do not have finished cgi's so you just see outlines for the effects and rough editing.

So I had another shot at viewing the movie today.
I wanna get into it...maybe I'll update the post eventually. But we had to sign NDA's and they had us take headshots of us with our drivers licenses held up next to our faces which was a first for me at an advanced screening.
It was more enjoyable than I thought it would, had a good time actually. Better than the teaser trailer depicted. Lot's of cool references to the show(s). On par with the first Transformers movie which I still really enjoy til this day. Thats probably as far as I can go without violating the nondisclosure agreement.

I mean, I think most people in the theater didn't seem to be into the OG show, but I'd say the most people found it favorable. No one really walked out saying it wasn't worth their time. But then again, it was a free flcik. A guy next to me was kinda hype and he wasn't into the original really.
But Imma pay to see it again, but thats based off the fact that the CG and soundtrack wasn't complete. Good amount of the suit action was practical too, I thought it'd all be CG. Then there was some blood and some cursing which I liked for some immature reason.
