stock pictures are rarely ever whats actually released. For the most part, stock pictures are kind of a render of what they should look like. Minor changes sometimes end up happening. 
 
I def would want the womens pair as the cage does appear pure white than the mens kinda like a beige. But are those pairs both DS? What if he wore the mens a little more than the womens.
 
^ Want to do that to my first pair since I have a second being shipped.

Hate that it won't be permanent though and will have to be re-touched. Looks good though.

Yes, both are DS.

I wouldn't paint the soles, they end up chipping away and requires maintenance such as touch up quite oftenly

Haha, yup I discovered that vid doing a reverse image search of the wide shot someone had posted in here showing an unreleased burgundy/gold colorway. Posted some screenshots cause I'm still too new to the forum to post links. The next day a BUNCH of sneaker blogs are posting "Multi Color Ultra Boosts Coming Soon!" using the exact same screenshot. Haha.

Plus, from what I've seen, once they've been painted, there's no going back because the paint stains the boost material leaving it more of a reddish color. They look good when the paint is fresh, but they look really bad when the paint starts cracking and the red starts showing through. Too much maintenance for what is supposed to be a low maintenance, high performance shoe.

I'm sure a lot of people are gonna feel the same way, totally understandable point. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of super "loud" shoes so I like it when they do something like this with just a splash of color.

Agree on both of you.
But that shoe looks 100x better all white than with that splash of MC. BUT if Adidas can get away with and make a killing than than two thumbs up for them.
 
Also, the multi color pattern would work well on the primeknit, but I'm not sure how it'd work on the more padded mesh material around the ankle/heel since it's not constructed the same way as primeknit.

Eh having the multicolor on just the toe looks kinda weird to me. They should put it on more parts of the shoe.
