Agreed. I hate the butchered cageless UBs people are doing. Then again, I just had customs in general. If it doesn't come from Adidas as is, it's bootlegged IMO.

One of the simplest yet cleanest colorways there is IMO. Yellow lace tips set them off. Nice to see this thread slow down a little bit now that everybody (hopefully) has whites.

Are you talking about the royal blue cw? I think that's a bit darker than this one but I can't tell what it will actually look like when i get it in my hands.
There are pics where I think it's perfect like these.
And then other pics where I think the blue is too dark like this one.

1. What's a good way to distinguish the grey wools vs LTD's? The wools have a red/orange torsion bar/insole?
2. What's a good way to spot fake white UB's? I know to look for the off white pattern that's on the upper, and the feel of boost material (can't do that via pics.). What should the insole and underneath look like?

The fakes often don't do the boost pattern on the material that shows through the outsole, getting a good quality pic of the bottom of the outsole is a good way to tell sometimes. They'll do the boost pattern on the sides of the midsole, but often miss it on the bottom, so the bits of "boost" that peek through the stretchweb are just smooth rubber instead of the typical boost texture.
The insole of the fakes often also has a "boost" pattern printed/embedded into it, the real ones don't have that, they just look like a normal felt insole from above. Underneath the insole it should look like a fabric/felt web of sorts, similar to the pattern of the stretchweb outsole, and in the holes of the fabric/felt, you should see boost. Most of the fakes I've seen just have a ****** solid mesh type material underneath the insole.
Also, the general shape can be a giveaway. The real UBs have a nice smooth curved line in the silhouette of the toebox, the fakes often appear slightly lumpy in silhouette.

For fakes I'm not the best at checking but I'll check the boost material to see if the little nipple dots are on it.
look at the "ultraboost" writing if they're the grey wools the ultra will be written in black and the boost will be written in silver, while if they're the LTDs the "ultra" and the "boost" will both be written in silver. that's the easiest way to tell anyway.

if you're talking about the royal blues, then you're incorrect, royal blues were released in the US as well. Saw them at adidas in soho a long time ago.
