It's pricey because it's a unique design by a high-end designer and the quality might be better (never bought Y3 so I don't know). People are willing to pay top dollar to be unique and to be honest compared to other designers, Y3 is on the lower end of the price spectrum. I'd personally never buy Y3 because I don't really care for any of the models that much.
 
y-3 has a complete clothing line to go with the sneakers which is priced just like any other designer line to complete yohji's vision/aesthetic. the shoes having boost is like a bonus imo. 
 
Price of Y3 is alright, if you compare to RO x Adidas.

Even though I'm a fan of RO, but the RO x Adidas is really overpriced IMO.

I appreciate it. The G9 is the reason I will never order more than $200 outside the US. Ordered 2 different sizes separately and got a bill from FedEx asking to pay $70, so I paid over $400 for each jacket. That's why any attempt to get the olives overseas via resale will do me dirty. Smh.

Didn't know where to post this but I think this thread would be fine... 

I didnt know that the Olive Ultra Boosts were a footlocker exclusive until this weekend. I've looked all over IG and Grailed and my FB groups and the forums I troll...... Does ANYBODY have any sort of line on where I could cop these? 

I know resell will probably be pretty outlandish but I'm just trying to see if I can even locate anybody selling them lol, doesn't seem like many people want to let them go...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks NT people
 
Where are you from? I see alot of people selling em in the adidas ultraboost worldwide group on FB and the prices arent that crazy. It was just a europe release.
 
I'm located in Seattle. 

Not a whole lot of local groups for me, but actually not too bad of a sneaker culture here.
