I'm comparing how huge the size 12s are to Nike. I never mentioned anything about padding just size wise.

That's exactly why he is bringing up the padding. A shoe with padding like the UB will look huge length wise compared to a shoe with no padding like the Racers because they need to be longer to compensate for the amount of space taken up by padding. But once you get your foot in there it's all the same size.

You want a better comparison...take out the insole of the 2 shoes and compare the size of those. That'll give you the true size differential

there is like no padding in racers... horrible comparison

Dude, who cares? Adidas almost always runs significantly bigger than Nike. Different company sizing, it's not something unheard of. You band wagoners sipped some of that Kanye cool-aide and bought a product from a brand you weren't very informed about and the want to say "smh at Adidas" cause their sizing isn't the same as Nike. So ridiculous.

not the best photo but as you can see padding does effect length and in the end where your foot sits in the shoe

all shoes/brands are made differently and base their size differently.

people also need to be aware that those who started off wearing adidas are used to saying 'nike runs smaller'

UB's run tts. go half a size down if you want a snug fit. done.

Let me clarify.. I lined up both shoes from the back base part... Not the soles. I placed my fingers inside the backs and put them side by side. Adidas' 12s is like a 12.5 to me in those models specifically

It's really not that hard guys, just go with your usual Nike size.

Or if it's really bothering you that much go try on a pair at your local store. These are still widely available.

IMO length on these shoes are TTS. They do fit slightly narrow but I haven't worn the pair I have to see how it breaks in.

How would the Ultra Boosts fare for every day gym usage? Ironically, I'm not going to be running in them, short of some ~30-45 minute cardio daily (bike, stairmaster or elliptical usually). I'm asking mostly in terms lifting. How would the UBs handle squats and deadlifts? I'm mostly on the machines or free weights, but curious anyways.

Also every day casual wear.

Thanks.
Nope. Sole too squishy.

Thanks for the input fellas. Kinda figured they'd be a no go for heavy lifts but I still might grab some UBs for lounging and casual wear.

just a heads up....the city pack of the ultra boost (black pair / white pair with black sole) went online at the adidas euro store at night, and the white pair was sold out after a few hours! only the black pair is still available. so they may not be super limited, but they are moving quick!

copped the whites for myself btw
