So tempted to cop the womens talc/cream NMDs...  LOL
If you have cream UBs, don't. They may look nice but comfort is no where near UBs.

You pretty much gonna by a regular Adidas shoe with a pretend boost sole.

I got excited for the shock blues until i saw they were gradients.

The worst part is theyre taking old cws and making them gradients.

So far they have recycled: blacks / whites / solar reds / royals / *navys

The only one I believe they have done well are the solar reds.

Yeah...  And thats the only thing thats stopping me...  I mean the PK is not even close to comfort compared to UBs let alone the mesh...  Just looks nice

I had the exact same dilemna....I went with the creme ultra boost. I'm happy with my decision.
I learned my lesson when I bought the mesh all white NMDs. Yea they feel great, but their competition is not against PK NMDs or UBs. I feel you will only notice the difference in comfort if you come from a different company. But that is a little ignorant for me to say since I've never owned a pair of Flyknits. If flyknits feel better than those, then that just causes a whole lotta different decisions.

When you wear UBs 90% of the time then transition to something different, it's almost a reverse feeling from when you put on an UB after wearing Jordans/Nikes/etc.

I don't understand the hate with gradients.

1. Better fit, toe box isn't as flat
2. Continental soles
3. Most recent pairs and seems like all pairs going forward are full PK

I understand the aesthetics aren't going to please everyone but the new UBs are superior to the OGs in every way except for an objective downgrade in looks. The three reasons above outweigh the downgrade in looks for me.

Thought there was a bunch of **** to catch up on in this thread. Turns out there was like 5 pages of brotherly love lol

Yeah I know what you are saying...  UBs really was a game changer but I still wear other shoes... J 1/4/11... I do have 1 flyknit trainer and a couple of racers.  I still wear my Asics GL3 and GLV and a couple NBs.  I havent gone 100% boost and I dont think I will...  BUT yes, UBs are definitely the most comfy of all...  Doesn't mean the others are not (except for a few lol)

I don't think anyone will disagree with you there but in this case aesthetics trumps design. The 3 things mentioned are minimal upgrades, except may continental soles. People seem to love those way more.

I cant even stand wearing Jordans or my basketball kicks (Kyries) casually anymore cause they just feel so clunkly and heavy compared to UB's. Something I do appreciate my FK Lunars and Racers but both pale in comparison to the UB. The new FK Prestos are a different story though, comparable to the UB but less "squishy". Love em.

1 - I hate the less flat toebox of the gradients, a lot of people do, and saying the "fit is better" is also completely objective. The shape change in the toebox is the main deterrent for me w/ gradients, it sucks.

2 - Gradients aren't the only UBs w/ conti soles, they've done a bunch of og patterned CWs w/ them.

3 - full PK is the one nice thing about them I'll give you that, but they've only released 4 gradients w/ full PK, up until this month they've used the same material as previous models.

Thats the keyword right there.  Most just like the OG pk pattern.  Plain and simple.

Because nothing will make up for the fact that every time I look down at my feet I will see two penises.

True that. I'm looking at it in more of a value sense that is it really worth scooping up shoe A vs shoe B. Heading to the NMD thread people going crazy over mesh pairs got me all confused.

To me it's like buying a goose feather jacket and comparing it to a puff jacket from Old Navy. Yea the one from Old Navy might look nice or look better but the materials and value of a Goose feather jacket is better to pay the premium.

I agree that the upgraded functionality is great but at the end of the day im still paying full retail for shoes if i dont like how they look.

And its also worth noting that there are OG knit pattern versions with the continental sole too.

I think most people are disappointed because the shoe has only been out for a little over a year and Adidas is already tinkering with a good formula that worked. If you werent up on these early last year to get colors like the royals, theyre hard to find now.

If the gradient pattern was the only one released up until now there might be more love for them. But for most its hard to appreciate them knowing that they could look better.

They should just have done a Royal Blue release for the US

I might grab the red joints while out here in Maui tho lol

I dont own a lot of basketball shoes.  My Js collection revolves around 4s.  I have a couple of 11s and 1s.  Hahaha!  Those are the only ones I really wear...  Out of all my Js, 1s still is my fave.

Disagree completely about the fit.  Gradients are more snug on the sides/top of the foot which I don't need at all.  And surely you're not suggesting that someone buy $180 shoes when they hate the way they look?  Maybe if you're going to run in them and wear them out, but for shoe mainly worn casually, looks matter a LOT.

How does Adidas determine which boutique will get a stock of an LTD release?

Eternally grateful for Feature yesterday (assuming I don't get a cancellation email) - but there are hundreds of similar shops around the country, why Feature LV and not any other sportswear store? Is it their relationship with their account manager?

The mesh NMD at first, I understand the craziness...  But after trying it on, it was really different even from the PK version...

I think it boils down the type of account the store have with Adidas...
