Response? Nmds and UBS are direct rip offs of Nike silhouettes.

It's coo if you're into adidas right now but it's hilarious that you cats have to justify buying adidas by having to compare it to Nike and hype. Hypes the only reason 90% of you are buying. Bunch of wait for the masses to tell me it's cool to wear nike/jb again.
Lots of Hypebeasts for sure, but if Ultraboost and Yeezys are the real deal for all day comfort. Nike needs a similar technology or no one in their right mind would buy an inferior comfort shoe.

To be honest I don't think Nike is going to "answer" boost the way people want them too. Too me it seems as if Nike has decided to focus more on service and bringing more shoes to more people than being trendy. also they've made the buying experience for shoes so much less painful and so much more convenient with snkrs and Nike+. Not to mention so many shoes that used to be a pain to get are now readily available. sock darts are a perfect example of that. But yeah nikes got a huge selection of fan favorites to pull from, maybe the goal for 2017 is to push those and focus on continuing to make the customer experience better. Maybe that's their answer to adidas.
Thats definitely how i see it as well. Buying a hyped product from nike is so much smoother than buying a hyped product from adidas and its annoying when people claim that adidas is "killing" nike. I think product and service should go hand in hand.

Nike is doing great business and making tons more money than the others, but that doesn't change the fact they aren't making any new shoes I'm interested in.

Nike NEEDs to do something, you can Nike knows they have to develop an answer to Boost.

Adidas surpassed Under Armour in the US, and the only reason is Ultra Boost, NMD, Yeezy.

Aesthetics is one thing but I don't buy the comfort angle as an excuse anymore. There are plenty of non boost sneakers across many different brands that come pretty damn close. As someone who wears ultraboosts regularly as well other shoes, if you can't find comfortable sneakers with a swoosh on them you're either not really looking or just going based off of hype.

Lunar epics are pretty comfy
Tried on Lunar Epic Flyknit Lows in store. They feel like BRICKS. That Lunarlon have no idea what they're doing with it.

Nike's Presto is more comfortable than Lunar epics, and Air is like a 30 year old technology lol.

This is true, but also the larger point is that Nike will still make way more money off of the casual consumer, and that's where the bulk of the business focus will always be.  I teach middle school, and the kids wear Nike shoes and apparel more than all other brands combined.  And while selling thousands of pairs of Flex Runs doesn't thrill the hypebeast market, money is money.  If they can make the LunarEpic (which is wild underrated) and the LunarCharge (haven't tried them yet) appeal to people, then, cool.  Look at the Roshe - it went from a boutique shoe to a model that sells over 10,000,000 pairs in a year (and that was for 2014, no clue what they sold last year).  Did it lose its "hype"?  Yes.  Did Nike make a ton more money when they opened up the presses?  Yup.

Woah there buddy. Let's go through them:

Zoom/Full Length Air

Lunarlon

Regular EVA Foam

That's the order of Nike's comfort in cushioning.

Asics Gel and Saucony's GRID cushioning are also IMO superior to Nike's cushioning.

There are no sneakers with a Swoosh on them that even come close to Yeezy V2s.

You're not going to find many people that will endorse that presto > lunar epic assessment lol I definitely don't. Lunar epics are on par with ultra boosts in terms of comfort to me.

You realize that Nike owns about 50% of the American footwear market right? And in second place is adidas with 9-10%. Nike doesn't need to answer to anything. How sneaker heads feel doesnt determine the market.

NMDs are for the hype bois. Other than the collabs, UBs overall are for the comfort bois

Idk man. The comfort with the ultraboosts are definitely there. Not necessarily the Kanye hype, but the hype that comes along with it being the new "it" sneaker, in my opinion, drives a lot of it.

Comfort gets you your first 3-4 pairs. But when people talk about I just got their 6th pair of the same shoe in the same color, that's hype driven.

And you do realize that Adidas gained about 5% of that market share just last year. If that trend continues for a few years, Adidas could have 20+% market share pretty damn soon.

Some people just got obsessive personalities lol.

There's a whole bunch of people that don't have UBs as their main in their shoe collection. But when you come to a boost thread your gonna have those enthusiast who cop 6 pairs of the same color.

Yes, American footwear market for sure, but not Metropolitan and other trendsetters.

NYC, SF, Chicago, Boston etc... I see the astronomic rise of the three stripes in the gym and on the street in the last 2 years and Nike is paying attention.

Just like if you're not paying attention now, you probably don't know Lululemon but in a few years they'll be a staple menswear brand as well.

Can we not get into a Nike/Adidas debate?
