Whatever month it was in which someone was tryna tell me that paint don't stick to boost. That's the last I recall.

In response to that, paint does stick. Ask this dude on eBay.

Champs Website says 1/13, so I take it that's when they're dropping online.
Thanks for the update.  This thread flies so fast, hard to go back reading 2 pages when 6 new pages load up lol.

Since none of the other foot sites dropped as well, assuming they will also follow suit and drop on that date as well?

If only more people were like you and I, these resellers would be forced to bring their prices down to earth.

Unfortunately, a few hypebeasts out there will pay $350+ for an all black sneaker, keeping the re-sell high.

Couldn't agree more. So many hype beasts are all about Adidas now. They pay resale for these shoes like it's nothing, ruining it for the average consumer. Only if they exercised a little patience, the prices would be more reasonable. It's just a damn shame how easily hype can cause people to rationalize and justify paying resell for a sneaker to quench their thirst. Not to mention that Adidas isn't helping the situation by releasing all the good color ways in stupid limited numbers. Paying resale is a slippery slope, once it starts where will it end? We as consumers control the resell market, hopefully people can exercise a little more self control in 2017.

Maybe a cheap soft-bristled tooth brush, you can get one for $1.50 and it would probably work just as well as a suede brush
That's what I'm using now but it's kinda a pain in the *** when scrubbing a big surface area and I'm looking for a larger brush

Agree 100% but not everyone is as rationale and patient unfortunately.

As for hype on these shoes, never owned a pair, let alone tried a pair of UBs to understand the comfort level as I hear nothing but insanely great reviews of these.  Looking forward to owning (hopefully) my first pair of UB olive 3.0 if possible.  Always been a loyal Nike fan but gotta experience the competition.

People keep saying this but for the most part deals can be had in FB groups or through allies/friends, just gotta network. If you followed sneaker twitter than I could see this being a legit feeling, they think they control the market but really a lot of them sit on pairs for a long time because they don't need their money back (most of them are high schoolers and young college kids that don't have many bills or obligations- and I'm not saying this to dis anybody, its just the reality). With that said, a decent % of those hitting on limited releases need to get their money back within a week or 2 to pay their bills (which is sad and annoying, but thats the best people to buy from and deals can be worked).

I remember that argument between you and @Edshoecator

I still don't believe you guys were arguing the same topic
Clearly boost can be stained by paint but spray paint job that we would use on our personal pairs isn't necessarily the same thing adidas would do to mass produce them. Especially since anything we would do would have to be redone after X number of wears. Keep in mind adidas did design these as running shoes after all. I took as you arguing possibility while Ed was arguing feasibility/manufacturability which makes sense on why Nike passed on the tech to begin with.

Whether the soles of the production pairs are "painted" or wrapped like Ed said, idk.

Hope this doesn't stir up anything negative

Don't really recall what the logistics of the discussion but I just remember that he or someone said paint don't stick. Then I recall another NTer chiming in. but whatever.

If that eBayer was listening to that advice that paint don't stick then those solars would be in way better shape. the dude looked like he was using his daughter's water color paint set.

I think it's more of paint not holding up on boosts soles, as opposed to it not literally sticking. Like if those got that way just via wear and tear that actually lends to that point.

Yea to a certain degree. I posted my painted pair in that discussion in the wash and nothing leaked or washed away.

Seems like the UB 3.0 pattern is giving up the spotlight to some other boost models
I am unimpressed by 90% of the CWs of the 3.0s. They gotta do more than just monochromatic CWs. I think that's why I like the CNY 3.0 the best.

most have looked plain and dull, plus the cottonelle pattern is a bad look to me. The cage is ugly on most too, translucent makes for a bland look on a lot of them

I don't doubt that all but I'm almost positive that a sneaker company like Nike or adidas has way higher and more stringent performance and durability requirements than a wash cycle or 2. Especially for a high priced performance shoe.

the shades of the MC are the only thing I've really like and the olives with the tan sole because of that tiny touch. Otherwise, seems like I'm gonna save a lot of money till later this year
