But they're not worth $700 - they're worth whatever you paid for them. The $700+ price tag is just what a select few are willing to pay for them.

If you like them, rock them.
But there is a select willing to pay. So if I were him, I'd let go of the shoe for that price and rock a pair that has a lower market value that I also like. You can never go wrong with profit plus a boost pair that you also like.

I returned 2 3ms and 3 chalks cause they were just sitting here and I didn't need them as I only need one of each. Figure maybe someone else would appreciate finding them at and Outlet but I'm sure the employees took them.

who in the hell knew the prices that would become of the 3ms and chalks. I don't blame you. I returned probably 6 pairs of FK MC's v1.0 back when they came out. I just wanted to pick the right knit. No regrets. Who the hell knows sometimes. If anyone would have told me Y-3 ZG Knits would go for $1000, i would have straight laughed at them at the time. Hell, the only reason i thought they were worth it was because of that $180 price tag, or whatever the price was from Matches.

I don't look at shoes like its a stock. But if i have something thats heat, I'll gladly get rid of them. I don't need any heat to be honest. Too old. Nobody even knows what the hell I'm wearing, in the group of people i hang with.

Those were 200 from Matches. I passed on them. Heck even if I got them and rock them and sold them for 300 right now, I got profit plus I got to enjoy that pair.

I'd rather wear CB 1.0's, to be honest. So there was no point in owning something worth $700 and more.

A shoe is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. So if you can sell them for 700+ they're worth that much. Just because you got them for 180 doesn't mean they're worth 180. The market sets the value.

Can;t nobody change my opinion on Lorenzo's being nicer than CB1.0. I'll kindly disagree

RIght, but what I'm saying is if I like a shoe, I don't care what it goes for in the resale market. If I like it, I'm gonna keep it and rock it. If I paid $200 for a pair of shoes, that's how much they're worth to me. I don't care what the resale market says since I don't buy a shoe to resell. I'll be damned if I let the resale market decide what I should and shouldn't wear.

Then I guess that makes sense to get rid of it.

I remember thinking $200 was steep.
Yeah. I thought also that 200 was not worth it for that shoe.

I understand. I rocked my Yeezys knowing I could sell them for a profit but I passed on that and rock them instead. Maybe if a pair is collecting some dust and is not part of your rotation then we can consider selling it for profit. But if someone genuinely likes the shoe then resell value won't matter.

Main reason why i got rid of the Lorenzo's was because TTS was too big. I put a regular insole in my black pair and it fit great. I used that pair to determine if the fit worked. Little did i know i would come to love that black pair more. It probably gets the most wear out of all of my kicks outside of work shoes. Came to realize overtime that every timei reached for the Lorenzo's, i'd grab the black pair and pick those up instead.

I don't think anyone copped Boosts 9+ months ago thinking any of this would become what it has become.

The amount of shoes i have factors into my decision. I'd like to get down to less than 10 pairs of UB's but its impossible.

I always daydream about going back in time and scooping up every hyped UB when I had the chance... sad I know.

I think like this all the time but then again i always like the shoe too much to let it go.

The black pair is the better choice

@casper90403   I completely understand what you're trying to say.

But you're saying it better you didn't knew the shoe was gonna worth what is worth today , so I assume you bought them to rock, when did that thought change? If you got them at the matches frenzy, then I guess you had them for about 7 months or so, completely DS, why did they sit in your closet? You ultimately didn't like them that much, my point is that resale just alters your taste or it was altered for the "price tag" or the "hype" at the moment, because you are even admitting that 200 seemed steep , so why would you get them?

you wrote I would rather give them up and wear something not worth much, they were never worth much to you, they were worth $200 and that's it, why keep them DS all this time? So was it a senseless buy? Out of following everyone else?

I myself didn't get the Y3 first I didn't like them, second at the time I was broke, and I personally wanted the black ones, but I had too many black shoes. But if I would have got them , man they would have had worth those $200 that I paid , not $1000 in a couple of months after that

And I understand that you said that you don't get heat because is heat, but that's completely what you did not, you get them because they weren't heat, they weren't that heat at that moment, so why would not keep them, if you wanted them. I understand that extra money ($700 roughly I assume) is good money, but that money wasn't never meant to be in your pocket to begin with, so why would you give up to that. Maybe yeah you're in a different age stage that I am now, and I completely understand the value behind stuff, but just an stupid example, Art, if i had a Diego Velasquez in my living room I wouldn't let it go for anything in the world, because that buy (let's assume I bought it) was for my own pleasure not for the sake of the extra money, and that's how I see pretty much I own.

I think is clear but I don't mean to offend anybody either, just sharing my point of view. :D

And i agree with what @therefill   said.

It took me a time to write my answer and just saw this, oh so they didn't fit you

Well, let's move on haha
