Thanks for the input! Much appreciated.

Is there any other difference between the regular all white UB and the JD all white UB besides the all white bottom sole?

Here's a direct comparison from the top:
1. Material/finish around the ankle is different.
2. Cage is a different design (thinner, snake skin pattern, 3M stripes)
3. Beige leather insoles.
4. Shoe is very white versus off-white.
5. White sole.
6. I also read somewhere that the Primeknit is sturdier (or made slightly different) on the J&D.
7. Leather at top of tongue.

While the consortium/J&D pair is sweet that pic tells me I made the right decision with the GR. not enough changes to justify that dough IMO.

I personally don't see the hype for them besides the fact Kanye wore em. I think they're a dope summer shoe but the white primeknit would be something horrible to dirty up. That being said, no I don't think it's worth it. You're just spending more money tbh.
Kanye wore the White Ultra Boosts with the black soles...I remember cause I wanted the J&D right from the start and was relieved when pictures of Kanye in black soles showed up :D

Wow thanks for the pic and the detailed comparison. I never noticed the slight "white" color difference.

Would anybody know what size I should get if I am a size 7.5 in a Roshe? I actually sized up by .5 because eventhough the size 7 was the right length for me and with still a slight room left in the toes (probably less than a quarter of an inch), the size 7 shows my toe bones protruding from the mesh. And I actually like a little more room in the toe area so my toes can breathe. What would be the correct size for me in an Ultra Boost?

I'm a 7.5 in damn near everything but I ended up .5^ to an 8 for UBs. It was too snug at 7.5 and the 8 gives me about 1 cm of toe space at the front of the shoe.

I see, may I know if there is any extra toe room when you wear your other size 7.5 shoes? About how long is the extra toe room?

I already have about 1 cm of extra toe space in my size 7.5 Roshes (OG mesh), would you still suggest me to get a size 8 in the Ultra Boost or would a size 8 already be too big and long for me?

If you're a 7 in all your other shoes (disregarding the Roshe), then go with a 7.5.

Eastbay may still have sizes left in the women's white Ultra Boost (US8.5 women = US7.5 men = UK7 men)

looool @ dudes still buying Flyknits in 2015

whats wrong with flyknits.....

Tried on ub's today. Very comfy shoe. Hoping that there's a J&D restock

i tried on my brother's pair the other day and the sock liner is just a little too snug for me :rolleyes going up a half size would make them too long. has anyone cut or modified the sock liner to open up the shoe a bit?

Nothing...both techs are pretty cool IMO; my only worry is durability for those of us who use these types of shoes for their intended purpose. Primeknit seems a bit tougher than nike's flyknit or flyweave but I still can't bring myself to spring for a pair that I actually hardcore workout in. Would love to hear from those who've really worked out hard in these types of shoes over a period of time how the weave holds up.

Whats a hardcore workout to you?

I run and go to the gym with my Nike Flyknits and UB..do I workout in them? Yes. Do I wear them while doing squat, lunges and leg lifts? NO.

I dont wear them during leg and back days. There is no solid, sturdy support for heavy weights while wearing the FK and the UB. Every other work outs, I do wear them during training.

Agreed - I will only wear flyknits to the gym if I am just doing arms or cardio. Other than that, its my romaleos for squats, metcons for any upper body workout, and reebok crossfit lite tr's for deads... Flyknits are comfy to cruise the city in, but wayy to squishy of a sole to workout (lift) in imo.

I run 2-3 miles 3 times a week, lift weights and cross train (bball, a little cross fit...) 2 days a week.

You do know what FK and UB are meant for...Running and light training.

if your gonna do Crossfit..stick with ur Crossfit training shoes. I dont recommend UB & FK for any the above activities. def. not BBALL lol....

..Nike has released hardcore bball (Jordan XX9) Soccer (magista) and training shoes (CJ trainers) in Flyknit or flyweave, I think Adidas has also released some soccer cleats in primeknit.

Those are shoes designed for hardcore activities...I'm just wondering how those kicks hold up. I'm like you; i don't trust it long term but would love to hear from someone who's used these type shoes long term for working out.

flyknits hold up fine ive been using the same pair of trainers for over a year to run, play ball at the park (lots of quick lateral movements) and at the gym. weave is still in tack however the soles are coming apart but any sneaker would do the same thing. while i love UB's the price doesnt mean theyre THAT much better than nike flyknit trainers. racers though i just wear casually btw

The flyknit weave on those are a bit thicker and heavier compaired to the Flyknit racers...especially with the XX9 and Magista in which they have a thicker and more solid sole.

Same technology, differ material used.

Rocked these with infrared nike dri-fit socks
