I do kind of wish the tongue was independent (I think that's the right term?) from the rest of the upper but these are going to be bananas

i rather it's a bootie so the tongue doesn't slide to the sides(if it does) like on the Flyknit Ones

Good point on the tongue sliding, I just like how the detached tongue allows for a "custom" fit against the top of your foot.  Regardless, the bootie + the 3 stripes overlay work should work well together.  

I like how the tongue was done on the original energy boost.  It was part of the bootie but it had cuts like a traditional tongue.  Works really nicely imo
 
Like the original Pures - i like them TTS so I have about a half inch in the length but you could go half down and fit right in top of your foot. Width is no problem.
