How do these fit? Do they feel near as good as pure boost?

Good question. Lol

I have neither, just ordered these this morning online. Maybe Ty can chime in.. I used his pic in my original post.

Been wanting a pair of Boosts for the longest and he posted that FNL had this deal going on so it was a no brainer.

I've been eying that same shoe but been buying too much lol

How much of a drop off are the energy boosts (specifically the Reveal energys) from the Ultras? I guess I'm spoiled by having the Ultras as my first boosts from a comfort and looks standpoint. Still struggling on copping Energy's to beat up for running or just investing in another pair of Ultras. Thoughts?

I have an Energy Boost and an adistar Boost, I would rather get another Ultra.

Just honestly, on feel alone, could you guys even tell the difference?

I think the Ultras looks best out of all the running and the primeknit is amazing but if it is speaking strictly of the sole, is the difference noticeable?

Most definitely, for me at least. I train for long distance running and the forefoot cushioning alone on the Ultra is significantly better than my Energy and adistar Boost. That stretch web outsole and the Primeknit upper combine to make a much more comfortable shoe.

Reveals are not much of a drop-off. The boost is slightly bouncier in them (whether you like that or not) and they have a conventional tongue and better heel lockdown. They aren't as sharp in terms of looks, and they have this layer of glue/plastic/fuse around the toe which kind of ruins the feeling of the reveal upper when your toes hit that.

Yes, you can feel the extra boost under your toes while walking/running. But the boost on the Energy 2s (reveals) feels bouncier.

At the price they're going for now (counting sales and coupon codes), you'd be stupid to pass up the EB Reveals. But If I HAD to choose between those and the UBs, the primeknit upper is just too comfortable to ignore on the UBs.

The ultra boost has the best sole/feel out of all the boost imo. At least out of the running/training shoes. but heel lock down is non existence

In my case I half-sized up and even with loose lacing, I didn't have any problems with heel-lockdown.
IMO, I do think the Ultra is more suitable for long distance training with the occasional fartleks and tempo runs versus faster track work.

Yes casual wear is fine. Actual running is the problem. Heck, even lace the shoe as tight as you can, grab the back end of the shoe and see if you can slide the shoe off of your heel. Even just jogging bothers me now. But casual wear/gym work is fantastic

the 20% more cushion on UltraBoost are noticeable compare to Pureboost? i used pureboost for the whole summer last year for working (standing all day) will do the switch if the cushion are noticeable. TIA.

There is no doubt. I normally wear a 14 in nike and Adidas but the 14 on the ultras have too much heel slippage. I went down to a 13 which doesn't really give me enough width in the toe box but the prime knit stretches enough for me.

shouldn't be any noticeable improvement

the pures are different from the running models, less firm and more bounce for things like standing around all day

Hmmmm. Could solve it. Scared to size down  but your right it will stretch

I don't have any heel slippage issues myself, even when doing full speed sprints and my pair is TTS. Can't wait for new color ways of the Ultras (as well as markdowns). Multiple pairs easy

been eyeing the ultra boost i love the way it look and all the comments on comfort are even better. i need a new gym sneakers.

is there any way/where i can get these for less than $180? i think it was posted on sports authority but i missed, might not have been the ultra though.

also people are saying =, TTS or 1/2 size up, but is that from your adidas size or nike. because im an 11 in nike and 10.5 in adidas (tubulars).

I'm glad others are not having heel slippage issues!! Great to hear from you guys. Like I said don't expect it to be a common problem or for people to be doing as intense work outs as I am (which is why I tried to give examples of the speed I was going, 28 seconds running through 200meters)

I think the heel issue comes from not having a lace hole in the actual shoe. But if others aren't having it and reviews aren't posting about it, must be me

Enjoy guys :pimp: still an awesome sneaker

I will take them out for a long run tomorrow and report back again. Also will be detailed with how fast I was going and stuff.

Also, are you guys heel striking or landing flat foot? I normally run on my toes and use a lot of force, so I was thinking that was another issue of mine maybe contributing to the problem.

I tried to look for other reviews but most don't really seem to be 'reviews' , just going for a jog or walk. Which is why I'm trying to bring you guys detailed reviews.

Will report back tmrw!!
