one full day with the UB's and just wanted to share some points

+ has a much better heel lockdown compared to the pure boosts; feels as if my heel is being "suctioned" into the heel groove which provides great heel stability

+ aesthetically looks good worn with jeans/shorts/joggers; overall a very versatile shoe.

+ ride is comparable to the pure boosts but with a more "stable plush" feel.

+ lateral stability is a bit lacking and is probably the biggest gripe I have with these and pure boosts

I just bought a pair of black pure boosts at footlocker for $50. They looked like they were worn as the white soles were kinda dirty but they cleaned them off for me. Probably just tried on at the store.

I wouldn't worry about that..I bought a couple of pairs like that..the bottom attract so much dirt and dust...I'm hearing the next boost is gonna have black soles..

True. Yeah I went ahead and copped. They are rediculously comfortable. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for more pairs at this price!

If there was lateral stability, you'd have a heavier shoe. Good thing is that with running, you pretty much are moving in a straight line path. So since it's a running shoe, you shouldn't expect much, if any lateral stability. If you're looking for boost with lateral stability, maybe the RGIII trainers are what yo'ure looking for, although they likely don't fulfill any of the other things you like about the UBs.

I definately need a pure boost with a colored midsole. The white gets dirty too easily. Something like the calypso roshe run

How much can the pure boost 1 be stock located for at the moment?

i do a lot of all terrain running/training so lateral stability is a must however I do find the UB's perfect for pavement running where the overall terrain is consistent. even though the running movement is a primarily straight movement, inconsistencies in terrain would need to warrant the need for lateral stability.  a little twig, rock, random ish can easily tweak or twist an ankle if ones not paying attention.

for a shoe that's advertised to be the end all be all running shoe I should be expecting much, especially for a premium price point of 180 bucks. lateral stability again isn't HORRIBLE, it's just a bit lacking, which I originally stated.  it's just my opinion again so keep that in mind.

The shoe is lacking in a lot of areas for what it was marketed as. I don't know who the wear testers were but they should use their elite athletes next time

But casually the shoe is amazing

I'm not sure if it's meant for elite athletes though. Usually, elite athletes will sacrifice cushion for weight, hence why a lot of marathon runners are super light and somewhat thin in cushioning. They can take the beating on their feet in order to get as fast of times as possible.

There are Pure Boost 2.0s at Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora, IL, but at full price. Can get $10 coupon in store. Also, had a 20% off deal via e-mail that they said they would accept. Pretty sure that 20% off coupon is for anyone on the adidas mailing list.  I didn't pull the trigger though. Waiting on the red colorway.

In a race, sure. Training...probably not

But I get you. just giving their marketing a hard time

Tried on the ZX 8000 Boost last night.

I agree with people saying they felt sort of weird/uncomfortable. Maybe it would take some getting used to, but the reason it feels weird is that the forefoot cushioning is super thin foam compared to the thick boost slab they have in the heel. If they made the forefoot foam thicker, not necessarily to make it more plush/soft, but simply to put it on a similar level height as your heel, then it would be perfectly fine. The feeling is similar to what I would imagine wearing a 1 inch heel feels like for a girl (while having super cushioned boost haha) although not as steep obviously.

It's the type of thing that could probably be easily fixed by taking some old insoles from a different shoe, cutting just the forefoot part of the insole, and then slipping them into the forefoot of the ZX 8000.
