OFFICIAL: Nike Zoom CJ81 Trainer 2 THREAD 6/27/14 "Tuxedo" !!

Really interested in picking these up. Is the heel cushioning better than the KD V Elite? I heard those were very firm. I'm just curious since the tpu around it probably doesnt have too much give, so as long as the zoom compresses inside of the shoe (under your foot) I have a feeling they should have great impact protection without feeling unstable or compressing too much and cause you to feel the painful impact from the ground. Any one have some experience training in these?

Heel Zoom is minorly responsive, more than KD Elite, but less than a true visible heel Zoom Air unit. The forefoot Zoom is very responsive.

Not really my style, but these are wayyyyyyyyy better than that trash hot fish color.


Anyway, got my Aston Martin's in from NDC. Amazing shoe. Super stoked, can't stop wearing them

The soles are a bit stiff, given that these are pretty much cleats so you have that hard shank plate with rubber soles, but the uppers break in quick.

The Zoom bags are kinda firm, but playing on turf gives a bit more cushioning.

Stable shoe with great grip. I walked around my wood floor when i got them and I could hear them sticking to the ground with every step, so I suppose you could even ball in these.

Bought them to play lacrosse in, but had a chance to pay some flag football today. Can't wait to lax in them.

If you're on the fence about these, get them. You won't be disappointed. Especially since you can get them for so cheap on NDC.

Can't say enough good things about these.

I get Nike gift cards from work every month so I use them as my shoe money. I've been paying full retail for these shoes for the most part but haven't cared because I looked at it like I was getting this stuff for free anyways.

Well I just returned all my pairs and I'm able to rebuy them and cop doubles and still have credit left over.

Think I'm just going to wait moving forward but I don't want to miss getting anyway colorway.

Them first world, shoe junkie problems :smh:

It comes back even to the first model and the lack of a true Detroit Lions colorway (the cleat had it). They really did butcher this line outside of a couple dope colorway drops. Such a shame but that happens all too often with Nike.
 
^, Fright Nights are the my favorite of the first shoe for sure. I might have to get doubles at that price, they match my Niner gear perfectly. Got the Cloaks and Astons today and they are very nice, especially the cloaks, very-quality. Just not as eye-popping as the first ones. But they are comfy and will last forever.

Dirtyvandal said that earlier in that thread as well; I guess we shall see if they give him a 3rd shoe or not, everything is just rumors and conjecture at this point.
 
I actually seen a baseball/griffey inspired color way.

low top, hexagonal zoom setup.

unless they scrape it late, it's already scheduled to launch Fall '15.
 
Lowtop CJ81s? Sounds promising :pimp:. Lets hope they give us some worthy colorways.

Which models do you have? I just have Motor Cities, Megatrons, Fright Nights, Volts, Rose Bowls in the first edition, and Aston Martins, Galaxies, and Visors of the second version. I agree, I want to buy every pair of the CJ line, other than the Sushis, cannot get with that CW at all.

I have every CJ81 Trainer Max that was released to the public, I actually have doubles of all them except the Rose Bowls, Volts and "Lions" Thank to an NTers I even have a pair of cleats :lol:

I have 3 pairs of Visors, 2 pairs of the Cloaks and 2 of the Astons, 1 pair of the Spicy Tunas. I actually don't think the Spicy Tunas are that bad. They aren't Calvin Johnson's but I two have pairs of the Lions colored Zoom Turfs because Nike keeps ************ on making Lions colored CJ81s.

^, damn you serious man, haha. But I would be that way too if I was a Lions fan. What do you think is the better training/more comfortable pair? I personally love the Zoom in the 2's and I think the strap is actually more functional than the 1 as well.
 
2s are better for training the CJ81s are more comfortable for casual wear.

The reason I have 3 pairs of Visors is because a pair is my gym shoes.

Still gotta get a pair of the Rose Bowls. That's the only colorway on my radar that I don't have. Prices are looking :pimp: on eBay too. Gonna wait until the Spring to cop though. I work so much in the Winter that they'll just be collecting dust for 6 months if I grab em now.

too ill love the cjs they just need better colorways hoping for a cj3 and we will probably have richard sherman marshawn lynch this time next year
