if yall want funny movie watch "The Other Woman" instead it was wayyyy funnier.... my girl forced me to watch that movie with her and i was bursting out in tears
roll.gif
riiiiiight.

I decided to see it this morning because the AMC by my house had $5 tickets. It started off funny but that change in mood to a serious movie towards the end was unnecessary. For $5 it wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't pay anymore to go watch it

So all the funny parts were in the first half of the movie? I hate that

this movie was aight, I seen it today. There were funny moments throughout, but nothing too hilarious. I think the Rogen style of humor is falling a little, funny for years and getting worse. I thought This is the End was not as good as pineapple express or earlier stuff and this was even worse. Also the couple friend of seth was completely forced in there and they weren't really needed in the film.

Yep, the second half was pretty bad

I saw the movie on Friday and it was okay. Some funny parts but wasn't that great. Funniest part was when Zac and that other dude started saying different variations of "Bros before H***"

I actually came in here to see if people remembered any. The only one I remember was "...before Jasmine from Aladdin"

I gotta cosign the other woman, Nikki's cameo alone was all worth the ticket price, she was looking GORGEOUS in that film and the acting was ok.

current hollywood comedies are pretty much forced and overpromoted. its like the same 3-4 writerrs are putting out these movies.
seen it and not worth the money imo

I agree, seems like every comedy has either Rogen, McCarthy's big ol' #%^, Jason Bateman or Jonah Hill...

Anyways, movie def. was a first half kind of movie, I thought Dave Franco and the frat was the funniest part of the movie. Rose Byrne is so hnnnng, but Rogen was corny. I didn't know what to think of Efron's character. It lacked humor and was too focused the last 1/4th of the movie

Just finished watching Neighbors.

Dave Franco has a bright future. As well as Zach Efron, kids can act, and this was a comedy; they both showed a range of emotions and hit the mark on 80% of their jokes, i was impressed. Seth Rogan...he cool in small doses, as is his style but I'm over it.

No one is going to comment on how terrible of parents they were. How terrible of people everyone was, and t gets brushed away like everything is sweet...pretty much every person in this movie was a d bag to one another.

That being said, I'm an old person, movies were every other joke is a ****/vagina joke, doesn't appeal to me, in fact I'm kind of offended. Be clever, write good jokes. Riffing off each other is cool for a few scenes but after that its annoying as hell. I don't get this new brand of comedy.

Comedies can take themselves seriously, but first they need to focus on a good movie, then add jokes. Movies like Trading Places, Animal House etc. all had serious parts but managed to stay funny because the stories were well written.

This movie missed the. 'Show don't tell' class at film school; any important thing they could have shown by a characters actions, they just said in the dialogue, it's lazy. Honestly, I think the writing was lazy in general, I'd love to see the shooting script for this movie, I imagine just scenes of 'improv.' They ould have spent more time on the story and less on them riffing; could have broadened the movies world, but it kept it way to focused on the main characters.

Some cheap laughs, but this is a 'cop at Walmart $5 bin' type movie.

i feel like you see EVERY movie as soon as it comes out lol

I think his brother is a hack, so I never checked for him, then I caught 'now you see me' even though that movie was no great, all the actors did pretty well. Then I caught 21 jump street and was pleasantly surprised by the movie as a whole...in this Franco goes from bro'd out frat boy to serious student in the matter of 30 sec, I was impressed

Also, Zac Efron was like a week from graduating, him getting arrested ain't going to stop that...continuity, trying to force a damn lesson, real life as President of a fraternity, Zac woulda got a job. I'm starting to hate that as a society, so much is placed on grades, when in reality if you got the paperwork no matter your grades if you have good relationships, you'll get a job, we need to stop promoting that in movies and films, not true and not good.

He had a good acting coach.

Review: Neighbors - Over saturation led to lofty expectations that were not met. It's a fun film with a few really big laughs but overall it's just not as good as it should have been - http://wp.me/p2CCWq-3Bi

This movie was great. Rose Byrne made the movie for me. Pretty and funny. The best decision they made was to go away from the stock wife stereotype and make the wife the scheming sidekick.

Brad Pit before Brad C***
Masturbate before ask her to date
Man Purse before....regular purse

That's all I remembered

I actually liked the movie

I saw it twice (b2b nights actually). Definitely enjoyed it more the first viewing.

Funny, but not as funny as This Is The End.
