NT detectives I need your help

So my lady got scammed on some beyonce tour tix last night from Craigslist. Dude sold her two seats for $300. She paid in cash in front of a Walgreens in Hyde park. All I have is his phone number and I don't know how to ID it as a google # or not. He answered the phone and then hung up on me when I asked if he had more. He is not responding to text messages. I'm also trying to verify which CL post is his.

Please help.
 
Man the card stock doesn't feel right and the row doesn't match the receipt. It has a semi gloss front. I just found out its a boost phone, so there is no telling when they decide to toss it.

If I can figure out which CL post is his, can IP#/address be tracked?
 
Search craigslist for the number. Pretend to be someone looking to meet up for tickets. Once you set up a time, go there ask for your money back. If he refuses, put him in a bodybag Johnny. Yeah.

Hope you teach dude a lesson. This happened to my friend's girl once. Sold her tickets to an encore concert for the show from the night before

Get the police involved to get Walgreen's security camera and see if they captured car or person at large?
 
Would it be possible to get Craiglist to dig up old ads and the e-mail address associated with it?
 
i just called. the dude said he no longer had the tickets and hung up

Only way to get your girl's money back:

Go to Walgreens and see if they have the transaction on video. If possible, get a copy.If you can, scope out the license plates for his car on the video.


Call the police to report a theft. Explain the story, give them the number, and ask your girl to give them a description of the car (hopefully with plates) and the name that the guy used.

Damn how did you get the street? Y'all are good. Walgreens cashier says I have to wait on store manager tomorrow morning to see video.

mark, she tried CL bc I got her and friends some killer Rihanna seats last year for her birthday. She was paranoid and I told her it's a risk but to do the best job evaluating the situation. I feel bad bc she asked me to go with her but I had no idea what time I would be back. If only she would have been more patient.
 
This is the CL posting id that she eventually gave her phone number too. Not sure if it's same guy or more people working the scam.
