The RETRO Gaming Thread!

Jordan 17 briefcase :nerd: :pimp:

You could have easily found all the controllers/hookups on ebay/craigslist :smh: Hell you could have sold them on CL without them

Went to check out that Retron N5....the prices  The reviews :smh:

love old school games

wish Nintendo would ramp up their virtual console

lacks so much depth

I have damn near every console from Atari and up but like playing them from one console without the physical games

still love playing gameboy advance tho, mario kart with the bonus og tracks, mario world, mario 3, gradius and contra 3

so much real life

I agree, I'd rather see real pics though.

Here's a corner of my living room... mostly PS1/PS2/DS/XB/GCN here though... The really old stuff is around the way on the other side. And of course those big boxes are arcade sticks. You guys thought sneakers took up a lot of room? Arcade Sticks, lol.

And a corner of my work place where we stream retro games...

Funny I found this thread I just bought a N 64 on Ebay. Comes with Tony Hawk 1 & 2, WCW vs nWo World Tour, Madden 99 and some other **** I didn't play

Tony Hawk games were real important.

I got

Goldeneye
Mario Kart, Super Mario 64
Donkey Kong
Rampage World Tour
Wave Race 64
NFL Blitz

What else am I forgetting? Anybody have recommendations on where to get games besides Ebay?

Craigslist. Pawn shop maybe? Google for mom & pop video game stores in your area.

Anyone buy any 3rd party N64 controllers lately? What brand/site? I got some recently from a shop and the joysticks don't respond like they should sometimes.

Most of the one on Ebay etc are the same controllers/parts just branded differently.

Earthbound is one of my faves.

Yesterday was the NA birthday of Chrono Trigger (19 years) and The Legend of Zelda (27 years). OLD SCHOOL <3!

A lot of those third party controllers are a crap shoot. I've had good and bad ones.

It's been 18 years it shouldn't be hard to make good inexpensive controllers  :smh: They even sell replica cardboard N64 game boxes now there's a market.

Dual impact, Interact, Performance, Pelican, Madcatz etc used to hold it down back in the day :nthat:

I got some gamecube style joysticks from eBay that came in yesterday gonna swap them out on some Nintendo controllers.

Gonna grab some wireless N64 controllers and extension cables one of these days. eBay coupons + eBay bucks = WIN.

I don't know if they ship to the us, but http://gamestreet.ca/ has a good list of games to buy
