When drinking heavy for birthdays or other celebrations, I always call a cab, take public transportation, or ask for a ride from a DD. And I make pennies compared to NFL athletes.
 
[COLOR=#red]People will never be happy no matter what. Comparing anything together that doesn't belong compared to is pointless (see: smoking weed/hitting you future wife arguments). If this were happening to a minority owner would people be this upset? If these punishments to players were happening to Brady, Manning and other would people on here and in the liberal media talk the way they do. Or would you hear the opposite arguments? There are too many variables, too many what ifs, to keep Everyone happy...

In the end... if Goods docks him the 35% of revenue BEFORE anyone saw this current punishment, which was mentioned above... Goods would be going way overboard to some.
If Goods sends this current out, it's no where near a punishment enough. But it's much more than the players get. And is also proving a point that no one is untouchable.
If he does only the fine with no suspension people would be pissed.
All scenarios people are mad. No way around it.

What I like about him, he waits until any legal matters are finished with All players and seemingly owners alike.

There will be No pleasing anyone who gets on Goodell. I remember a time when Tagliabue was running the league when players were just running amok, doing whatever they wanted too, pretty much... where was the outrage then? It was ok back then? I just don't get it sometimes, there has only been two that I've had a problem with. When plexiglass shot himself... because he f-cking shot himself on accident like an idiot... and was suspended. And the lack of attention that was brought to Stallworth who was drunk and high at 5 am and killed another guy coming off work... All he had was 30 days in jail and suspended for a year... for killing a human being (if you're playing the at home game that is a year less for Burress who shot himself on accident and a year less than Vick who killed dogs for fun. You know what I mean)... Dogs lives are greater than a human being and working man. Vick got what he deserved... I feel like Stallworth was swept under the rug.

Any who... those are the only two I didn't like. Everything else, I feel, has been justified.

always knew I could handle myself while a bit intoxicated. it's in my genes, alcholic father, grandfather etc... I am not, it was just every once in awhile. 0 accidents, DUIs, etc... doesn't matter. So freaking dumb.

Hope you young ones take this advice, don't drink and drive man. No after school special, you're just not invisible. Neither is anyone around you.[/COLOR]

Happens to the best of us. Overconfidence, poor decision-making, impressing women.

Honestly if anyone is ever forced, crash with a friend or pony up for a hotel. Your life is worth more than a 100 bucks.

It kind of is but you see this dude Irsay on Twitter always going ham about his football team... They're keeping him away from his squad for almost half the season. 

All things relative, its a big deal for him.

punishment is dumb......rather dude skate a punishment then this 

can't really "punish" someone in the top 1% (as far as the league)........these dudes punishments is when they **** up their taxes and the uncle sam come calling

I'm with you, doesn't change anything in his life but hey maybe it really will make him think about not driving drunk next time... *Shrugs* 

It might not though... But either way the league has throw some bait in the water for all of the people waiting on Irsay to get "discipline".

@PFF: JJ Watt has almost 3x the grade of any other 3-4 DE this season: 61.3 vs 21.0 for the next best.
 
Texans fans, what are their plans for Savage? Kimd of curious, they took him in the 2nd and I really haven't heard his name since.
