NFl just can't get out of it's own way right now.

They shelved using Rhianna's song for last Thursday's opener, but then were going to try and use it this Thursday.

Rhianna wasn't havin that, and Tweeted out against them, with only 37 million followers to see it.

The NFL is a mess right now. Gordon, Rice, AP, Rhianna, Roger, Drug agreements, injuries, suspended owner, asking musicians to pay for Super Bowl halftime, and yet the whole world is watching every Thursday/Sunday/Monday. :pimp:

I wish they could flex the Bucs-Falcons game to Sunday at 1PM so my team could just lose in silence.

Dayton: Vikings should suspend Peterson until accusations resolved

Gov. Mark Dayton  said Tuesday that the Minnesota Vikings should suspend running back Adrian Peterson  until accusations of child abuse against him have been resolved in the criminal justice system.

Calling the allegations and their fallout "an awful situation," Dayton said he believes Peterson is innocent until proven guilty and that he deserves due process. But he also called the allegations, that Peterson used a wooden switch to discipline his four-year-old son, "a public embarrassment to the Vikings organization and the state of Minnesota."

Dayton's remarks came in a statement from his office. The governor is in Washington, D.C., raising funds for his re-election campaign.

"Whipping a child to the extent of visible wounds, as has been alleged, should not be tolerated in our state," Dayton said.

Peterson has denied being a child abuser, saying he was using the same disciplinary methods that he experienced as a child. The Vikings had kept Peterson out of Sunday's game, but announced Monday that he would be reinstated and playing next Sunday.

Vikings spokesman Jeff Anderson did not immediately return a call seeking comment on Dayton's statement. The DFL governor has worked closely with the team throughout his first term, both as advocate for partial public funding of the new stadium now under construction in downtownMinneapolis, and to help promote a subsequent, successful bid for Minnesota to host the 2018 Super Bowl in that new stadium.

"I will not turn my back on the Vikings and their fans, as some have suggested," Dayton said. "The Vikings belong to Minnesota -- and in Minnesota. This has been the team's only home; and our citizens, including myself, have been its most dedicated fans."

#Fun fact: Jaguars gave the same contract to Toby Gerhart that the Eagles gave to Darren Sproles this offseason: 3 years, $10.5 million.
Gerhart's agent should ask for a bigger % just off the strength of this

How Jerry doesn't sashay down from the top to beat this stat into Garrett's head is absurd.

Sunday was just the eighth time in Jason Garrett's head-coaching career (58 games) that Dallas has run more than passed. The Cowboys are 7-1 in those games.

You know Jerry wants our million dollar quarterback slinging it down the field instead of handing it off. Hopefully another 200 yard day for DeMarco vs STL on Sunday :pimp:

Thanks, Anti....

She's got a point. However, like CP said...whole world will be watching Monday/Thurs/Sunday. NFL is truly bulletproof.

An eye-opening development: Nike stores in Twin Cities have pulled all Adrian Peterson merch from shelves. Nike.

Buckle up everybody.....

nike taking a stand..

jesus, certain guys are real lucky some of their stuff isn't happening right now

Aren't there studies showing that whooping isn't even an effective method of discipline?

Ie: teaching the kid they should clean their room or they'll get whooped, vs teaching the kid to clean their room because it's good to keep a clean room.

Poor example, but hopefully the point got across.

Also agree with dmx. You can kind of tell who hasn't been around a 1 year old. My nephew is almost 2 and I couldn't imagine raising a hand to him. Even at 4 :smh:

my mom hit me and my dad didn't

growing up I would listen to my dad much more than my mom and I think it has everything to do with this

I already know what you're gonna say

She went after CBS , not the NFL. Would've been smarter to attack the league...heck CBS probably owns her record label

Here's another one

Possibly an even more relevant stat than run/pass share for Cowboys needing to get Murray the ball: 12-1 when he gets at least 20 rushes.

If I'm MillerCoors, I'm tweeting the NFL right now and @'ing AB letting em know they have no problem stepping in
