This thread, I swear...

I tried to bring up a decent football conversation topic and it last for about 10 posts before the Royal Rumble breaks out.

your debate topic got thrown off the top of the hell in a cell, word to mankind

Come August this thread will be revived like the Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

Wow huge decision, didn't realize this was even being considered. Best/worst part of every one of these articles are the predictable comments and statements

What are the immediate effects of this decision?

From what I've read, nothing right now, because the Dips will likely appeal and it'll go to court for years. But if/when they lose... well

"@MichaelDavSmith: ******** will appeal. If they lose the appeal, it's over. No way the NFL will have a team name that's not trademarked http://t.co/CfTYWytSDy"

"@MichaelDavSmith: Other owners won't stand for Dan Snyder costing all of them merchandising money, which is what will happen if "********" isn't trademarked."

Some law experts are saying this could last a decade in court :smh:

If anything, this puts more pressure on the league and the Dips to force a name change.

Like this hasn't happened before? Same thing happened in 1999, the NFL appealed and won in 2003. Then again we're living in a "politically correct" world nowadays, might not have the same result.

Might as well change the name now though, **** is so annoying. HTTR.
