Asiata :pimp:

thats the only props i can give since he helped my fantasy team even though i could still lose :x

Julio jones arguably the best WR

Matt Ryan arguably the best QB right now

Falcons might be SB bound this season...I mean they are still the last team to beat Seattle in the post season...................

Ska dont forget this in your week in review

It must be an AFC East thing DSK. I can absolutely match those kind of misses the past decade.

Jimmy trading back thinkin the guy he wanted would be gone by 19. That guy? Randy Moss. Picked 21 or 22.

Taking Jamar Fletcher instead of Reggie Wayne or Drew Brees.

Vernon Carey over Vince Wilfork.

Saban taking Ronnie Brown at 2. Could have taken Aaron Rodgers, and nabbed Frank Gore at the top of round 2.

Ted Ginn over Revis or Willis.

Koa Misi over Jimmy Graham.

Daniel Thomas over Randall Cobb.

It ain't just you guys bro. We do that **** all the time too.
@CP1708 My fault on the extra late reply. I went back and read the pages I missed.

I don't know how it came across, but I wasn't trying to make it seem like the Patriots have it worse than everyone or some ****. As a fan, I recognize how fortunate we are to have a decade+ run in this league w/ sustained success. It would be silly on my part to portray it like there's been more misses than hits because that's not the case.

BUT...

The way I see it...what separates the evaluation of Bill vs. everyone else is you can make a strong case that his mistakes & failures as GM have cost this team championships. Yes, plural on that. IMO '06 and '11 are very reasonable arguments. And some of that is on Bob Kraft too since his vision is in-sync with the coach/GM so naturally there's a perfect extension there.

What it comes down to is Bill is so damn great at coaching + his QB matching him on the field...that they've been able to consistently overcome a litany of blunders on the personnel management side of this team with little to no harm. Coach and the players get it done while having a philosophy in place that prioritizes VALUE over TALENT and is highly resistant to alternate from the long-term approach. Over the last nine years, the only season you can truly say management scrapped their regular **** and went ALL the way in was 2007. The result of that largely contributed to a few plays short of a perfect season.

If you agree w/ that...then you should understand why those missed opportunities along the way are inexcusable considering the foundation is set at coach/QB. Something that doesn't come easy in this league.

Which brings me to my main point in these rants:

Since coach IS the GM...it's perfectly fine to distinguish between the two roles and judge him accordingly, yet not only does it rarely happen, but when it does, he often gets a pass in that department. And since the easy narrative has now shifted to "WELP, THE QB IS WASHED"...I see Bill the GM once again skating free from the fair criticism he deserves. That's been my issue.

There's a comparable QB out in Denver whose career is winding down as well. Look at what Elway has done for him vs. what goes on in New England. I can't fault #12 for being skressed.

Steelers :smh:  Snoop Dogg summed my feelings towards them in his rant

Reminiscent of Bill Cowher's infamous "turtle ball"

Deion talking about players in the locker room don't want to play for Harbaugh. He might really be out after this year. Michigan or Miami I guess.

Ray Didinger who is very respected, worked for the NFL for many years and is in the HOF said that regardless of what happens this year; the feeling is that he is out after this year

@PacificNorseWst  @SneakerPro  as promised..

I'll need to get my year book from my parents place if some of your guys don't believe the story.. but anyways, here goes

so a funny story about tom coughlin.. well about his daughter.. well, more like at the expense of his daughter (the one that married chris snee)

so as some of you may remember tom coughlin was the coach of the jags from their inaugural season in 1995 until 2002.. well, I just so happened to go to boarding school in Jacksonville towards the end of his tenure with the jags, the bolles school

this is the same school where coughlin sent his kids

well coughlin's daughter who ended up marrying chris snee, was a couple grades above me (this all went down my freshman year).. and as I and pretty much the rest of the school would later find out, she got around quite a bit.. and got around quite a bit with some of the football players

now I didn't join the football team until my junior year, and as I mentioned above this all went down my freshman year..

but unfortunately for mrs snee, one of the guys I boarded with happened to be on the football team and he happened to be graduating that year.. and like a lot of schools, the bolles school allows its seniors to have a 'graduation quote' that goes in the year book

well the guy I mentioned above decided to use "jaguars club, what???!!!!!??!" as his senior quote

so needless to say, as soon as everyone saw the quote they started asking "what the hell does that mean?".. then people started figuring it out.. and then some of the members of the "club" and football team started talking..

and I'm pretty sure enough of you guys are smart enough to figure it out too

NFL's archaic blackout rules face government challenge

For decades, the NFL blackout rules have been in place to encourage fans to attend games rather than watch from the comforts of home. According to Recode though, that could change this week. The FCC will reportedly axe the long-standing policy that keeps pay-TV outfits like cable and satellite companies from broadcasting local events that don't sell out. As the report points out, NFL fans are usually the most vocal about blackouts due to weekly showings on over-the-air networks (CBS, FOX, and NBC) and the 72-hour window required for a sellout ahead of kickoff. However, even after the rules are nixed, local stations will still be unable to show games that don't fill all of the seats. While the NFL's policies are tied to attendance, other leagues like MLB and NHL have rules in place to protect contracts with broadcasters. As you may recall, FCC chairman Tom Wheeler has already spoken out about the NFL blackouts, saying that the league "not longer needs the government's help to remain viable."
