Lol I love Johnny manziel but as the savior of your franchise i don't know...I hope he can translate in the field come sept and the josh Gordon thing he's a moron not an addict just like many wr's in the nfl

I haven't been in this thread that much the last few weeks. Not sure if it was posted but did you guys see the NFL logos mixed with the NBA logos? A few of these logos are mad cool. Confused about the Bengals + Blazers, Jags + Jazz mixes

I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL holds the first round of the draft in LA and the rest in Chicago.

I like the SF one.  Could be a nice alternate logo for the 49ers.

Except that Bridge is like an hour away from Levi Stadium

Idk why they didn't mix Raiders & Warriors when they play right next to each other.

Because the Warriors are and always have been a SF team.

Raiders and Lakers have more in common.

I'm not holding one opinion or the other on Manziel on that football field yet, but all these shenanigans make me feel so relieved that Minnesota went Barr with their first pick and ultimately, Teddy at Q. Who know's what he's doing right now, but it's fun to assume that he's the exact opposite of Manziel and he's buried 24/7 into that playbook and on a field somewhere.

But really...Manziel is just livin' it up. He's not much different from the Joe Namath's and Brett Favre's. They were all about burning the candle at both ends, initially (Namath still?). They let their play overshadow their off the field behavior, which was still known even in a social media-less world, and in Favre's case (because most recent and still semi-fresh in the mind), matured to become an all-time great. Just sayin'...I'm not ready to judge Manziel the player just because he's acting a fool in Vegas on the weekly.

Sorry for the long post...Just wanted to vent a bit on that.

Those are 2 guys with superior talent to Manizel

Namath was an all time talent but, he's like the worst Hall of Fame Quarterback. Hes still a HOFer but it was also playing in the 1960s and schemes now vs then are alot more complex

Favre had all time great arm strength and got to work with great coaches like Holmgren, Gruden and Marriuci

Manizel is a 5-11 scrambling quarterback, how many of guys like that have even been close to great......Russel Wilson and Michael Vick......Flutie?

As I've said before I'm fine with a guy living it up. Just understand the ammo you are arming critics with and don't be surprised when fired upon

Namath can be a HOFer all he wants those stats are bad from the completion percentage, 50 more ints than tds, and under. 500 win loss record. :x

I don't disagree. I'm just sayin'...I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. And those were two names that popped up right away (most likely because they were great), but I'm sure there's still those in between that partied hard and still had decent careers. My bad for possibly allowing those names to distract to any point I'm trying to make, but the end thought is just to allow Manziel to show what he's really got at 1 o'clock on Sundays.

And I will say that I'm not worried too much about any past trends of smaller quarterbacks. It's an ever-evolving NFL and there's room for many non-historical prototypes, to succeed.

Its the combination of his small NFL stature and his penchant of fpartying that may be too much for him to overcome

If Manizel was bulit like Cam Newton or Aaron Rodgers, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt

But he's sub 6-0, he's not particular fast and he doesn't have a super strong arm either, but he has elite scrambling ability though

Physical measurables have a big correlation to NFL success

I definitely hear ya.

Then again im torn because the gamers of the sports world will always get a chance with me every single time. Just a personal deal. There's always exceptions to the rule and things...just things people can't understand. It just happens.

Odds against him are stacked for sure. And to add another element to this, as a betting man, I can't say I'd bet against him even right now.
