The Cowboys have the best record in the league, and Murray is having a historic year at RB (so far). He's also a huge reason why the team as a whole has been playing better (balanced offense and clock control).

How is he not in MVP consideration (At least at this point of the season)?

Same point I was making, but apparantely it's all because of the OLine so he's not in the Top 5 MVP discussion according to some in here ..

Murray in the discussion but I don't think he's gonna win it. It's honestly gonna come down to AR and Peyton IMO. And unless Peyton's numbers are WAY better than AR, I think Rodgers takes it due to some people not wanting to vote for Manning since he won it so many times

Rivers still has a chance but he fell a lot behind the other two QBs with his last two games

Murray is definitely up there in the MVP talk. The biggest difference between Cowboys teams in the past and now is the way he's playing. He's keeping the defense off the field and he's saving Romo from himself.

John Boyett was a member of the Denver Bronco’s practice squad on Wednesday. On Thursday, Boyett was released by the team.

According to police, in between being on the practice team on Wednesday and being released on Thursday, Boyett punched a cab driver, stole a shovel from a construction site, hid under mulch in attempt to elude police, told officers to call John Elway, and slammed his head into a patrol car window.

According to The Denver Post, Boyett began his evening at the Sports Book Bar & Grill, where witnesses say he was intoxicated.

Police said Boyett tried to take food off another patron’s plate and was asked to leave when he became agitated, threatening to punch a bartender and refusing to pay his tab.
Two police officers responded and called Boyett a cab. About five minutes later, the driver called authorities to report he had been assaulted by Boyett on the 9700 block of East Arapahoe Road, records say.
The Broncos were “disappointed” to hear of the arrest.

This isn’t the first time Boyett has been arrested, nor is it the first time he attempted to invoke his NFL status. Last September while a member of the Indianapolis Colts, Boyett was charged disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement.

Boyett’s alleged defense at the time was to yell, “you can’t arrest me, I’m a Colts player.”

The Colts cut him immediately after.

The conversation with Murray is not on the terrific season he is having like those other players, it's on those other things

It didn't take long for Emmanuel Sanders to learn that he landed in "wide receiver heaven" with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

A bit of a tease in Pittsburgh for four years, Sanders has cleared the century mark four times in his last six games and is coming off a career-best performance in Thursday's win over the Chargers.

Just as the Lions have been lifted by the acquisition of Golden Tate, the Broncos have hit the jackpot with Sanders.

If Sanders hadn't switched agents prior to the 2014 free agency period, though, he might have ended up on a different AFC contender.

As a restricted free agent under player representative Jordan Woy, Sanders signed an offer sheet with the Patriots in 2013 -- only to see the Steelers match. He drew interest again from New England last March, but couldn't find common ground on contract terms.

"Emmanuel loved it there," current agent Steve Weinberg told CSN New England's Tom Curran on Friday. "He said, 'Give me Danny Amendola's deal and I'm there.'"

Amendola signed for $28.5 million over five years, with $10 million in guarantees. Sanders ended up in Denver for $18 million over three years, with just $6 million in guarantees.

"New England was competitive throughout the process," Weinberg added. "Had they been aggressive from the beginning it would have gotten done, but, in this market, nobody knew what to do with the wide receivers."

In an interesting twist, Sanders appeared to be the Pats' first option while the Broncos were concentrating on Brandon LaFell.

When Denver general manager John Elway swooped in to steal Sanders away from the Chiefs, Pats and Bucs, New England reacted by re-signing Julian Edelman to a four-year, $17 million deal ($8 million guaranteed) and adding LaFell at $9 million over three years ($3 million guaranteed).

If not for a pair of twists of fate over the past two offseasons, Sanders could have fixed Tom Brady's long-standing need for a field-stretching wide receiver.

I don't think anyone but the normal trolling Cowboys fans who will probably disappear in December are getting butt hurt

For me, I see your point. I'm saying that they are also talking a lot about his performance as well. A lot of praise is passed down on the O-Line for sure. But he is also getting a lot of talk about how well he is doing. And I did not agree with your statement on the amount of carries.

QB's are always going to be favored because they'll get all the praise for how well a team is doing. RB's are always going to be long shots because they need their O-Line to be competent.

Murray

I don't think it's out of the realm to have either of these guys placed anywhere in the top 5.
