Sounds to me like most Eagles fans are relying way too heavily on Sanchez to this season's savior. Bound to be disappointed. It's a letdown waiting to happen.

I'll call it now, but I think the 'Skins crawl back into the race now with the injuries that are happening for Philly and Dallas.

Chip does him no favors calling 60+ pass plays when he's got Shady back there.

i cant really kill chip for that, considering Arizona was pretty depleted at DB.. and our WRs were working them.. but foles missed some plays too in that one

only thing i really knock him for in that zona game was not challenging the spot on polk's run.. and i wish he would have gotten right back up afted shady picked up positive yards and just quick snapped it and ran it again while they were on their heels

have you watched Nick Foles play this year?

Washington plays Cowboys, Eagles, Colts, Rams, Giants, 49ers and they basically can't lose another game

I can...  Foles is notoriously bad under pressure (the stats show that, much like Andy Dalton).  Arizona is going to blitz like crazy and you have to know that Foles isn't going to be the best at taking advantage of that.  They should be running the ball more creatively.

i think you may be misconstruing what exactly we are saying.. we aren't expecting him to be the or a savior.. hell one of the main facets of chip's offense is making simple reads for the QB so that he can have a number of options depending on what the defense does where the playmakers can get into space

for example, on most passing plays.. the QB just has to read the free safety, that's why everything is predicated on the ball coming out quickly

it literally is taking the read option and putting it into the passing game.. the speed and tempo just forces defenses abilities to substitute and/or mask the defense

so on any given pass play the defense has to account for McCoy and/or sproles.. all WRs.. ertz and celek

foles was just screwing up immensely.. we just hope sanchez can do a better job, which would obviously be huge for our offense given what foles was just flat out missing

after watching foles these last 2 seasons.. and especially last game.. i think he was his own worst enemy in that game..

as i mentioned above, with chip's offense there are number of quick slants and mid to shallow range stuff built in.. to stretch the defense horizontally and vertically..

but foles always tries to get the deeper patterns.. and with riley cooper playing so well last year and desean's ability to adjust on deep balls.. then you celek and ertz pressing the seems.. things worked.. you also had him playing substantially better..

but this year.. with his level of playing being off.. cooper not playing as well as he did.. then our Oline injuries.. he needed to take more of the quick slants.. use Mathews.. get it to ertz, celek and the RBs in the passing game

I still can't help but wonder, how unfair the Philly offense would be had they simply kept D-Jax, next to Maclin, Shady, and Sproles. And add in Jordan Mathews. :smh:

the seasons savior ? theyre 6 - 2 and on top of the division ...

have yall seen Foles this season ? hes been playing pretty poorly . i saw Sanchez in the preseason and against the Texans and he played well . im seriously questioning how many people arguing against Sanchez have actually been watching the Eagles and how many have just written him off because of the Jets days

this I don't think people have actually seen Foles body of work this year; he has been pretty bad

Sanchez just looks comfortable; he knows this is his chance to prove NY wasn't on him and show he is a starter in this league

26 of those passes were in two minute drill against one of the best run defenses in the nfl and one of the poorer pass defenses

Sanchez is too much of a wildcard for me, our qb situation does not inspire confidence.

But I believe Chip will put him in a position to be effective.

Lmfao what Bledsoe said about the jets is spot on even though I'm a huge jets fan couldn't agree more, Im glad Sanchez is getting another start to his career but that butt fumble will forever haunt him and sums up his time as a jet

Draft insider Tony Pauline has heard Colorado State's Garrett Grayson, Oregon State's Sean Mannion, ECU's Shane Carden and Southeastern Louisiana's Bryan Bennett will likely receive Senior Bowl invitations.

Pauline adds he has heard invitations will be withheld for Oregon's Marcus Mariota and UCLA's Brett Hundley, two redshirt juniors who are eligible for the event because they graduate early. We are shocked that Bo Wallace, Bryce Petty and Brandon Bridge are not listed in the group. The senior crop at this position is not strong. At all.

Naw, I was only talkin about football players.

ertz?

Ha, I completely forgot about Ertz.

Yes, look at that around Foles. D-Jax, Maclin, Shady, Sproles, Mathews, Ertz. That's just flat out embarrassing. Loads of mismatches, tough to cover a full field with all that.

I mean, who/how do you cover Shady/Sproles out of the backfield, with D-Jax/Maclin out wide, and Ertz in the seam?

All the options, especially with someone like Chip, and he just gave Jax away. :smh: I just have a feeling that one is catching up to them at some point.
