NFL Discussion Thread: Pats win SB XLIX. Offseason begins

I really hate to jump in on this, but I see the point 10027 is making.

Everyone agrees what Ray Rice did was wrong. Everyone agrees that hitting a woman is wrong. However, the statement Stephen A made about women should know not to poke the bear, essentially gives creedence to the idea that some instances make hitting a woman legitimate. Pipe down or get hit, while that unfortunately can be the case in these types of situations, SAS spoke out of his place for bringing it up and and there was no need to go that route. Beadle took it to another level yet, and it's all an unfortunate mess.
I can't agree with this logic unless you and anybody else feeling like this is claiming stupidity and I know y'all aren't. Its times when people say things that should be said better no doubt but you still understand the point they are making. Its almost like the sentence or paragraph where all the words are spelled wrong but you still know what they are since the first and last letters are the same. If people keep to the old saying our parents told us about keeping your hands, spit, etc to yourself you probably prevent them type of situations more often than not just like locking doors, doing certain things at night etc.

******* goodell...all this ******** over the last few pages and between SAS and the Beads could have been avoided if you gave the man 4-6 games

actually speaking of that...how long do y'all think is enough of a suspension? i'd probably say 4 games. i have a feeling that's light in a lot of your eyes though

What Steven A Smith said was true though.

Probably not the best choice of words in today's uberly pc society though.

I wouldn't hit a disrespectful 11 year old regardless of how rude he acts or even if he hit me. (Its some big 11 year olds out there, that may be bigger then a grown woman and who's punches may hurt more then a grown woman's punches). Why? Because their a young child who doesn't know right from wrong regardless of their potential size, the immaturity and age level is obvious.

I would like to say I got enough restraint to walk away from a reckless irrational woman who can't keep her hands to herself. Everyone has their limits and is capable of snapping though. However, unlike the young child, a grown woman knows what shes doing with her actions and knows right from wrong (unless we're saying that women have the same intelligence and maturity level as a small child) in many cases women act reckless because they feel they can act that way because society social norms say that under no circumstances should a man strike a woman regardless of how wrong or physical said woman is. Some women exploit that and then are quick to cry foul and play victim after they push a man over his limit and he puts hands on her. For their own good they should be more careful how they act to people because not everyone plays that don't hit a woman under any circumstances stuff and relying on that could have potential bad consequences.

I knocked some butch dike out when I was younger because she spilled a drink on me on purpose and punched me in the face twice with a closed fist. Not proud of my actions and id handle it much differently had it happened today, but I'm not necessarily ashamed of what I did either.

Ultimately regardless of the gender, people need to be more respectful of others and keep their hands to themselves and not provoke unnecessary avoidable problems

It seemed 50/50 on the devil's advocate tbh, especially when you said "who knows what her intentions were" but since you're so upset I'll give you the benefit of the doubt

Packers and top 5 have agreed to extension.
4 years 39 million.
14.2 guaranteed.

Now lets get our other top 5 signed before he becomes top 3.

I thought the Packers were smart with their money. You don't just give almost 10 mil a year to a system WR.

Greg Jennings Jr.

Jennings lit it up once Ponder sat. I don't care the sentiment on Cassel, but with him or Teddy under center, Jennings is gonna bounce back in a big way this year.

If 9 a year to a system WR means they'll continue to be the best QB/WR threat in the league then so be it. Worth it.
