The diary joke again.

Tell me what defines relevant. I've asked 3-4 times. No answer.

IDK, actually being a threat to win it all, which the Eagles have been at various points for the past 12-14 years. Even though the ******* have never got it done :smh:

Not being relevant is, winning one measly wild card playoff game in the past 20 years. That would be your Cowboys.

* Awaits generic response showing 5 ancient trophies that don't mean **** at this point in time.

12-14 years is a huuuuuuuuuge stretch. What years are you counting past 04''?

damn, you guys still going off about fandom and relevancy?

you would think someone questioned the other person's sexuality with how offended folks seem

Same old ----....same old ----....same old ---- (ECW crowd style)

Not that I have to justify myself. But, born in dc, raised in dc/md. Couldn'tt stand the ******** growing up.

What's funny is my initial question is what was the line for relevancy? Which you still haven't answered.

Because you know exactly how that goes.

If you say the line is at superbowls- your team has never been relevant.
at Conference Championship- You know that's super arbitrary and wouldn't fly.
at winning a playoff game- we'd be more recently relevant and beat the Eagles to do it.

So tell me. what's the line for relevancy and have the Eagles ever been relevant?

or just go ahead and become a Steelers fan.

That's a real tear jerker

Wasn't supposed to be. A sad story would be getting "sonned" by a ******* fan every day of my life.
I would've grown up super bitter and angry.

Well got damn

Despite a belief in some league circles that the person designated to handle the appeal of Browns receiver Josh Gordon’s one-year suspension can split the proverbial baby  by imposing a suspension somewhere between zero and 16 games, the NFL characterizes the substance-abuse policy in a way that makes clear the absence of discretion.

“The disciplinary penalties were negotiated by the NFLPA and NFL more than 20 years ago and there has never been a proposal to change them,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy tells PFT via email.  “When they were first established, the union expressed the strong view that they needed to be stated and mandatory to ensure that all players be treated the same regardless of position, experience, level of ability, or competitive considerations.  On appeal, the hearing officer’s responsibility is to determine whether the violation was established and, if so, he is bound by the agreed-upon sanctions.”

For players in Stage III of the program, a positive test automatically triggers a one-year suspension.

For Gordon, then, only two options exist:  full-year suspension or no suspension at all.

If the terms of the policy are applied as written, Gordon could indeed be facing a one-year suspension, no matter how unfair or heavy-handed or otherwise wrong.  Or maybe the hearing officer will, consciously or otherwise, broaden the lens and consider the reaction to a one-year suspension for Gordon versus a mere two-game suspension for Ray Rice  and his far more heinous conduct.

Chad Johnson @ochocinco · 1h

3 seconds of anger cost me a lifetimes worth of work...

Kinda puts things in perspective as far as the Ray Rice situation....

I think if Chad was younger or didn't have zero production in NE he might've gotten another shot somewhere else.

I don't agree with Philbin cutting him though and esp after all that BS after that.

Played out in front of America on Hard Knocks...it was like watching a car accident in slow motion.

Chad was washed up at that point anyway, easy out for the Phins

I bet if hard knocks knew the whole Ray Rice thing was going to go down they would've been beating down Baltimore's door to film them this offseason

Yup.

Felt bad for Ocho Cinco though. He imo is not a bad dude, just got involved with a bird. SMH.

Cant believe Carl Crawford fell for that garden tool's nonsense.

Chad dug his own grave. I used to feel bad for one of my favorite players of all time (T.O.) but he's in the same boat as Chad in terms of digging his own grave, albeit a little bit differently.

He boasted, bragged, and **** on various people who could have been useful to him at his current age.

Now he's having to sell factory variances posing them as legit Jordans for extra $$$ towards child support.

Ocho was washed as hell at that point when he was on the Dolphins. A "lifetime's worth of work"

I thought Chad still had some juice left

Chad was a great athlete, but he didn't have a mind for the game that would allow him to be successful in the latter stages of a career. His stint in New England was a prime example. He wasn't able to do his own thing like he did in Cincy, so he wasn't able to see the field.

I remember the game against the Bills when he was finally getting some burned. Was wide open.....and dropped the TD.

He was never to be seen again on the depths of the bench
