All this fuss about Peyton when he won't even be the best QB that comes out of this generation.

There is another QB who will go down with more rings and SB MVP trophies when it's all said and done.

And no I ain't talkin about Eli or Joe Fluko :x

Either you are talking about TB12 (certainly an acceptable view) or someone new and that would be a different generation

Thanks for these points but they have been made before...check those playoff losses and worst of all one and dones.which are damn near in the double digits.a lot of those are on him cuz he solely played poorly...in the offs at home too :x. Thats where it matters

Peyton my dude forever and i will cry thug tears when he retires but he has to be held accountable with stacked Os and now a stacked D and his man Clady back. We will see..

Damn sure it won't be Phillip Rivers

The one and done losses I place a LOT I blame on Dungy and resting at the end of the ear. The team showed time and time to suffer from 'rust'. Frankly that was a huge reason Pitt won in 05

Haven't seen highlites r games but what is with SF so far? Cause for concern?

Idk but I'm already getting annoyed by my Facebook/IG timeline because it's obvious that this years 'cool trend' is to post pictures of yourself at Levi's stadium :smh:

That unfollow list is getting too long.
That alone is making me want to root against the Niners.

:frown: I hope I'm not on that list

Nah man, you're employed there. That's diff circumstances.

It was only the 2nd preseason game, but I was worried about how the Niners would fare this year before camp started.

Worried isn't quite the word because I couldn't care less, but you know what I mean.

Saw Carradine had a beastly play though.

I have no disdain for PM the person, don't know him and never met him.

The disdain I have for PM is:

Dudes overlook his constant post seasons failures, and I'm sorry you can't be the goat of something when you have such a glaring hole in your resumè.

And he torched my team for damm near a decade.

He's one of the GOATs of the regular seasons.

That's it.

Well...you win a ring and amnesia comes about..is it right ? NOPE!

You know well as anyone else that the NFL love the mannings

Not really, Colin threw a bomb that Brandon Lloyd's bum *** dropped in the end zone. Pass defense looks shaky and they were getting no pressure on Peyton.
Justin Smith didn't play either right?

We all know he's the most important piece on that defense.
cant get sacks if smith doesnt hold

Can't get the ball if you "purposely" move from behind the center to call an audible on the 1st play of the game to snap.

i don't know about A LOT of blame on Dungy. it goes both ways. Belichick never rests players and Wes Welker blows his knee out in a Week 17 game. NE goes on to lose in the playoffs to Baltimore. was Belichick to blame? probably not. at least not for that.

sometimes players AND teams just lay an egg. it's a long season and tough to be on your game every single week. some players/teams do it more often than others, and some do it at the worst of times and in the biggest spots. you can go back and forth assigning blame for days on end, but what's the eye test tell you? what's the whole "perception is reality" thing tell you? it tells you that in the 4th quarter of any game, tony romo will make a critical error. it tells you that in a playoff game, peyton manning will not be as sharp as he typically is. that's perception and it's pretty much reality.

is it fair to just select those moments to judge a QB? absolutely not. you can't write-off 95% of their work. but it's why most people would not take peyton manning in a big spot over some other QBs in the league.

and i do think peyton is one of the greatest QB's that has ever played. he's probably top 5 all time for me.
