I don't know.
I didn't get all the way deep in what happened. I saw the tape, heard the stories, but I also know that they continued on and are now married, or soon to be? So, in a sense, his own girl forgave what happened.
If she forgave him, how could the NFL be more severe, on a first strike?
If he had a history of issues, then yeah, more than 2 games is warranted. If his wife ran away, filed charges, claimed she feared for her own life, then yeah, more than 2 games.
But those aren't things that happened. And by all accounts, Rice has done every single thing the NFL has asked, since the incident.
So add that all up, I'm not sure what the "right" amount is.
