pretty slippery slope.. really need a well thought out d definition of what exactly constitutes a 'beating'..

also how subjective are they going to be.. and what happens to dudes who get in fights in other dudes, not talking about a Michael sam sort of situation (which now obviously is a possibility), but just simply dudes getting into physical altercations with other men

Do you guys want him to gradually up the penalties so that dudes can get the wife beating's out of their systems or something?

Why does it matter that the suspension was 2 games and has taken such a big leap?

Don't beat your wife... semi-simple to not get suspended for this one...
first of all , the penalties arent going to stop wife beating ; let's just make that clear . same way the death penalty doesn't stop someone from committing murder

the point is that going from giving a guy two games to making this announcement in such a short amount of time makes it seem disingenuous
Of course its reactionary... It had to be.

It wasn't addressed before, and now it is.  Doesn't really matter how it looks, they've done something about their bad policy.

He didn't just wake up and decide this. Clearly he was working behind the scenes with some people on what the charges/cases will be.

Mitigating circumstances, penalties can be worse than 6 games, etc.

You can reapply after one year, but no guarantee, all of it. AND, it's not just the players. ALL, NFL personnel. Owners, coaches, trainers, everyone.

Touch a woman the wrong way, the NFL will no longer allow you in their league. Period.

He did everything you all been cryin for, and now you still unhappy?

Whatever happened to the Norm Chow hype? Dude was all the rage 10 years ago, but never got a his chance. Or did he not want it?...Either way...He fell off.

Okay. tougher penalties are good. wsts the point of giving someone excessive chances? if they can‘t honor. anyways,

Some of you guys are hilarious... there is no pleasing people. What would you have done? What would you do? Guess what... in the NFL he is God. He could have laughed and ignored every single thing said...

NT - "2 game suspension, oh my god what an outrage." "Goodell is a joke." "2 games for beating your wife but a Year for smoking weed."

Roger Goodell - 1st offense 6 games, 2nd kicked out of the league, "I made a mistake, I'm fixing that mistake"

NT, for example:

saving face

I think he has way too much power, but I also think a committee would be awful. But with these specific situations, with the Josh Gordon situation, he did right.
