Simply put, since I and other have said this a million times, you're employer tells you No. And you do it any way 6, 7, 8 times and have been punished that many times you deserve a longer sentence each time. Sources tell ESPN that suspended Josh Gordon is exploring the possibility of playing the rest of the year in the Canadian Football League.

The Browns would have to give Gordon permission to do this, which the Cleveland Plain Dealer says they will not do. Understandably so, as they'd be exposing their most talented player -- one they have under contract very cheaply through 2016 -- to injury without any on-field benefit. Furthermore, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says CFL rules don't allow players under NFL contracts to play in the CFL -- only cut players can go north of the border. It's a nice idea for Gordon to stay in shape and have some structure during his suspension, but this one is not going to happen.

The ray rice suspension is pretty fair when you hear that the wife was going all solange on him and he may have only pushed her off him, hard to tell w/o seeing the footage which all involved have

a year for weed when the B sample is below the threshold is stupid IMO

this move is an over reaction plain and simple, a lifetime ban w/ no dead body? Even stallworth was reinstated

Gordon's punishment was fine with me being that it wasn't his 1st or 2nd time offense. When you are in the 4,5,6 time committing range, then you should be up for 1 year bans at that point. As said, it is obvious that the message was not getting through to him.

Ray Rice deserved more than 2 games, and the 6 --> Lifetime is pretty steep, but how many chances can you give someone when it is involving domestic violence? I do hope there is a committee or a case-by-case evaluation. Look at Dez and his crazy family or Talib running around with his mom too. Hell not just thots and baby mamas coming up....NFL playing cousin/brother/uncle won't get me da hemi or an m3....time to beat myself up and call the people on him.

Not really sure if he could reduce it or not, I just think the testing is flawed. Gordon's camp raised a good point whether it affects his case or not
