It's just funny how Teddy Bridgewater can be praised for bringing a team back in a preseason game, but Carr can't "look good so far" because "it's just preseason."

Make up your minds

The fear of having Derek Carr being successful has people on edge

Dude, stop.

I hope for Raider fans sake he's great for you all.

This ******* fool hypin him ain't even a Raider fan, just another NTer that wants to run off at the mouth every damn day about the same bull ****. A guy that isn't even starting week 1.

You as a Raider fan should be tellin him to shut the hell up too so your fanbase doesn't get associated with his crap.

my hate for the raiders is the reason i became a broncos fan and my favorite player elway. but ive said before i give credit where credit is due. plus carr went to fresno state which is where i went so i want dude to succeed. all im saying is he looks great so far. i guess we should all go back and talk about rogers, rice, gordon, manziel, the skins name, and various other topics that have been beat to the ground :rolleyes

All he said was that he "looks legit"

The guy is a young QB! You and I have no idea if he's going to be good or bad come reg season but he has improved every preseason game. Yes it's preseason but he's making the right throws and takes command of the huddle!

this

Nick Foles looked like dog **** his first year.

Looked superhuman his next year. NFL pedigree?
to be fair.. the circumstances that he came into weren't exactly that great.. 4 out of our 5 starting Oline was out.. then we had desean and maclin missing games..

and that's just off the top of my head.. then you have andy reid being andy reid and not trying to at least make it easier on him by trying to run the ball

Ugh this 'battle' is making my head hurt. I never thought I'd want 9ers and Seahawks fans chirping but let's go gentlemen, take over

Cool.

Your QBs are Matt and Carr.

Last year y'all amped up Pryor as well.
Their fans have gotten a little more level headed with their QBs over the years.  However, they do amp up everyone else.  We heard it with Rolando Mcclain.  We heard it with Hayden last year.  We are hearing it with Khalil Mack (although I actually think he is as good as Raider fans do...but we will have to see).

Even the Raider fans down here in Socal gas their team beyond belief.  Although I havent heard any division champ or superbowl talk for a couple of seasons now.

so santa claras preseason offensive struggles should just be swept under the rug? i get your point but just because its preseason it doesnt mean that the good or bad play should be ignored completely. it should be taken with a grain of salt but its another thing to just say its preseason they will get it together when it counts for santa clara as to say carr looks good but its just preseason. no one is saying dude is hof bound just that he looks great so far.
but they are winning it this year :\
lulz im not hyping him up. just like how he looks so far :\ . hopefully he succeeds in the nfl.

Saying teams are going to regret passing on him IS hyping him up, though. You're basically guaranteeing he's going to have a good career by implying teams are going to "regret" passing on him . Doubt it.

re-reading what i posted and your response i see what you mean and how that came across. not trying to hype him up. in short...carr looks great, if he continues to grow he can turn the raiders into a contender, went to same school so i want him to succeed.

everybody thought McClain was going to be good coming out of Bamma. his heart wasnt into it that is why hes retired twice

exactly! nobody has said that he's Tom Brady reincarnated.

McClain wasn't just hyped up by Raiders fans come on

I dont know anyone that thought Hayden would come in and shut **** down, just thought it was a cool pick granted his circumstances and potential and that we got to trade down and nab an extra pick. He hasn't seen the field much so can't really even say too much yet, unless he stays off the field consistently then it'll be a problem.

I'm afraid of the Hawks, 9ers, Bengals, Broncos, Brady and Rodgers

I mean not personally afraid but I don't want I see Pitt play them. I may not turn the game on

EDIT - and kind of Oakland in Oakland due to recent history

I think for anyone who actually watched the game it was apparent that Carr knows what he's doing. His passes were accurate and arrive quickly, he made good decisions, he was able to direct the offense and not let Seattle set the tone.

Of course it's the preseason but I think he's demonstrated good things. No reason for people to think otherwise yet other than to say that it's too early, which obviously can be said for any rookie.
