Russ does what he has to do to get the job done but I do believe is has no business being put in the same category as Alex Smith. He has way more talent than that fool. Its a case of what ifs. If Seattle goes bad in a few years when everyone has to get paid, then we will see what he can do when he has to put it on him and to be honest I think he can get it done. Does he have as much talent as Luck, Peyton, Brees, Brady or Rodgers? No IMO but hes damn good. Flourish young man, flourish. Just not against the Colts.

If you know the definition there is no explanation required.
Really?

Because I know the definition and I don't think he's a stat Padder.

They run the ball...

If he was a running back I'd understand. But if they get up, they're not doing 7 step drops.

I was being facetious.

More often than not his numbers won't wow you, but RW3 has proven himself and seems to have a knack for making timely, game winning plays.

Rustle Jimmy Wilson for prezident.

:pimp:

I ain't a salary cap expert but they not keeping them all together for years once he gets paid. At the same time I'm not sure what Russell is gonna get offered but if it's top tier money **** will eventually be different.
I'm guessing a kap type deal gets his money while helping team retain some of its key role players

Luck should be good. Real good. From what we're told, he'll be the best (one of). Easily better than Russell. He's the Peyton to Russell's Ben, in my opinion...As of today. Now, what would you rather have?

true.....would be a good look for Seattle

Rodgers didn't go at Sherman once....Sherm :pimp:

mr marcus mr marcus :pimp:

Doesn't count. He only plays one side (as if cover 2 is all they play)...Nevermind that the Seahawks love the talent but care more about the team. What's it matter if you win rings, but can't be indisputably be called the best amongst nobodies?

How so? What have I said that's wrong? You're telling me that Wilson is on the level of Luck? If that's the case your football knowledge is obviously nonexistent. I like Wilson, I've said said that he's good at what he does, but to put him on higher tier isn't fair to every other qb that's up their. Do the Packers win the superbowl without Aaron Rodgers? Saints without Drew Brees? Colts without Peyton? now tell me if the Hawks win without Russell Wilson

All you've done is make speculative statements with no substance. "Oh what if he played for the Jags he wouldn't be that good." That statement literally says nothing. When have I ever compared Russell to the elites of the league? Please tell me what the flaws are in Russell's game that you see in which you rank him so low. Please just do it. Having an elite defense is not a flaw in his game either, just to get that point out of the way now.

And to answer your stupid question, no we wouldn't have won the Super Bowl without Russell. Maybe the Super Bowl game, but leading up to all of that? Hell no.

It's funny. Dom Capers was like, we didn't show much in the preseason, saving it for the season. Then that is what he came up with. Ok buddy.

I'd agree with that. I don't think Sherman is a slam dunk as best cb, but when has there been a slam dunk as best cb in the nfl? Deion had competition from Rod Woodson, Darrel Green, and others. I'd love if the Niners had anyone of those top flight CBs.
Nah man Deion was that dude and the rest were going for #2

Rod was a safety I thought and Darrell was an ageless wonder. You had Aeneas Williams too. Young Charles Woodson, Ty Law, Champ, and Ronde were the next group after them.

How old are you?

Not trying to be funny.. But I'm seriously curious..

You know rod played for the steelers prior to the ravens, right?

Feel terrible for Lacy he is an absolute monster. Hope he gets healthy soon.

Also, A-Rod is by far my favorite QB to watch in the league. Such a beautiful release.

The one thing that 100% of us can agree on. Football is back!

I'd take both of them over Matthew Stafford.

Yeah. Me too. I have a weird affinity with Matt Stafford though. I think his ceiling is up there with Culter, but on a different level. If he doesn't realize it this year then he's the same category as Jay.

Deion had competition from Rod Woodson, Darrel Green, and others.

Incorrect.  Deion had competition from nobody during his years.  The rest of those dudes were just happy they had a chance to met Deion.

Deion is easily the best cover corner ever.. But dude would literally be a liability vs certain coaches/teams if they attacked his liabilities

Woodson is easily one of the top 10 corners ever.. And probably a top 10 safety too.. I guarantee there are some youngins on here who don't even realize the impact he had on that 2000 ravens team (and that ed reed wasn't even on it)

And you have to give green his due for longevity and what he did at what 5'8 or so

man can't wait for sunday. was good seeing all the regulars at bdubs that i'd chop it up with all season long last year. good day of college ball saturday too. just need tomorrow to fly by at work

Yea you're right, he's not a stat padder.

You obviously didn't understand the jags comment. If he was on the jags he would be forced to carry his team, something he doesn't currently do. The other top level qbs do that. That's not his fault, but he shouldn't be lauded as one of the best qbs in the game. Why don't we see his flaws? because he is never forced to show them. All he has to do is make good decisions and hand the ball off. Nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't make him a great qb. When did I ever say you compared him to the game's greats? I'm not speaking to you specifically, I'm talking about how Russell WIlson is viewed overall and how can one claim he's a top echelon qb without comparing him to the other great qbs?  Look at the original comment before you begin popping off at the mouth.
I don't really think anyone here was hating on him, but it's annoying how he's lauded yet he does practically nothing.
I said he shouldn't be lauded as a great qb. Who said I rank him low? I said he's not a great qb. Will he be? Maybe, is he as of today? no. Ben wasn't viewed as a great qb in his younger years, why should Wilson?
