I remember when people consistently put him ahead of Ben and Phillip. Love that he had his two runs but just hasn't had the number of quality years as them IMO

This is always an interesting topic. I don't have a problem with people saying Ben is better. He's had a solid career and won it all. Phil though, he's had stacked teams and choked multiple times. Would NY have won two with Phil? Does SD win one with Eli? Very interesting conversation that you could argue either side.

Either way, I'm happy NY made that trade...

People can't mock Tony Romo throwing the direction he's going, to a man who appears open only to have a great LBer make a great play, then praise Stafford throwing the wrong direction, to a double covered receiver, with momentum going the opposite way.

Both were poor decisions, but with completely different results.

CP this post further proves my point. It would have been a dumb mistake by 90% of the QBs in the league. But again Stafford has the arm and the skill to be able to make that throw. Calvin is an amazing receiver, but Matt makes those plays possible for him.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones accused of sexual assault in graphic lawsuit

Cowboys  owner Jerry Jones is being sued by a woman who says he sexually assaulted her.

Jana Weckerly, a former exotic dancer, filed a suit in Dallas County District Court on Monday alleging Jones assaulted her in 2009. Read the PDF of the entire lawsuit here. (Warning: Graphic content.)

Weckerly's lawyer told the Dallas Morning News  that his client is still dealing with "trauma" from the alleged incident.

The suit also claims that Jones and the Cowboys conspired to cover up the assault. Weckerly seeks more than $1 million in damages.

Weckerly's lawyer sent a press release  to several media outlets last week, claiming Weckerly was the person who took the photos of Jones posing with strippers. The pictures were taken in 2009 and recently leaked. Jones said the photos were "misrepresented."

Cuz if so, I expect about 300,000 lawsuits to hit Jerry's desk soon, Cowboy fans tryin to get rid of the man. :lol: :lol: :lol:

He definitely threw him open, still required a great catch. I don't get what there is to argue, we should just appreciate the play.

What I don't get is flashing back to last year to Russell's great throw on the run to Sydney Rice guys are saying "not impressive he was wide open" and now we got Stafford making an even better play to someone who was far from open and now it's "not a fundamental throw could have been picked. Seems like an extremely pessimistic way to watch football.

No dude, it's a smart way to watch football.

Again, Eli was running TOWARDS his receiver, who was open, and threw the ball right to his hands, but the safety made a great play, INT. People clowning the hell out of Eli for it.

Stafford did the opposite of all that, only his receiver is incredible, and made a great grab. Matt placed the ball well, surely, but he also lobbed a ball over two defenders while backpedaling. If one of those safeties/corners made any sort of play, guess what would be happening for Matt right now. And as we have shown, this is not even close to the first time Stafford has stupidly thrown a ball into a group of defenders, only to have Calvin make a miracle happen.


It was a stupid throw, with a great result.

Favre throwin a missile thru 3 defenders into the waiting arms of Mark Chumura for a touchdown is a stupid throw, with a great result.


Bottom line, it's unintelligent quarterbacking.

It's called justifying your own preconceptions. If you think you're the smartest person in the room, you can take whatever leaps to justify your own fanship. And you'll believe yourself and feel special.

Not that I'm personally a huge fan of stafford.

I think what you're trying to say is stupid decision, great throw. Still don't get what there is to argue.

I've been as critical as anyone of Stafford, but that doesn't matter because I'm only talking about this one play. I don't care about past plays or future plays, that throw was great.
