Won't be suspended since no criminal complaint but clearly a poor parent. So your fantasy team should be good

this is crazy. now AD doesn't have any values and morals because he whipped his kid.

edit: and bush is now a poor parent.

Ryan will be what he has fooled people into thinking he is on Thursday.

I wish they could flex the Bucs-Falcons game to Sunday at 1PM so my team could just lose in silence.

I'll say this.

I think AP went overboard I just don't get how a 4 year deserves that/

I don't think spanking your child is something that is horrible though.

Read my quote a few pages back. With a 1 year old I have no problem taking a strong stance. My views change with the age of the child

..$ or not....

Francesa goin in on some of these dumb as a fans.

He made a valid point about how the NFL is basically bulletproof.

And if is as fans want to see a difference . Contact the sponsers and reach out the sponsers.

Good point.

Yup. Until teams and owners start feeling the strain on their pocketbooks, the NFL will continue trucking along.

Wonder how many more sponsors the Vikings will lose over this.

This Adrian Peterson thing is out of hand :smh:

I was beat many times as a child and I can say if my parent's didn't do that to me as a kid, I wouldn't be where I am today. When I messed up, I knew what was coming to me.

It prevented me from making the same mistake again.

Dayton: Vikings should suspend Peterson until accusations resolved

Posted by: Patrick Condon under Minnesota governorGov. Mark Dayton  Updated: September 16, 2014 - 11:32 AM

Gov. Mark Dayton  said Tuesday that the Minnesota Vikings should suspend running back Adrian Peterson  until accusations of child abuse against him have been resolved in the criminal justice system.

Calling the allegations and their fallout "an awful situation," Dayton said he believes Peterson is innocent until proven guilty and that he deserves due process. But he also called the allegations, that Peterson used a wooden switch to discipline his four-year-old son, "a public embarrassment to the Vikings organization and the state of Minnesota."

Dayton's remarks came in a statement from his office. The governor is in Washington, D.C., raising funds for his re-election campaign.

"Whipping a child to the extent of visible wounds, as has been alleged, should not be tolerated in our state," Dayton said.

Peterson has denied being a child abuser, saying he was using the same disciplinary methods that he experienced as a child. The Vikings had kept Peterson out of Sunday's game, but announced Monday that he would be reinstated and playing next Sunday.

Vikings spokesman Jeff Anderson did not immediately return a call seeking comment on Dayton's statement. The DFL governor has worked closely with the team throughout his first term, both as advocate for partial public funding of the new stadium now under construction in downtownMinneapolis, and to help promote a subsequent, successful bid for Minnesota to host the 2018 Super Bowl in that new stadium.

"I will not turn my back on the Vikings and their fans, as some have suggested," Dayton said. "The Vikings belong to Minnesota -- and in Minnesota. This has been the team's only home; and our citizens, including myself, have been its most dedicated fans."

Does anybody on here actually think AP is going to be on the field Sunday when it's all said and done?

We all have our stance on the Skins name debate...but I do find it interesting as to how quickly Radisson suspended their sponsorship in the wake of this issue going on w/ Peterson. I mean, even the message board shut down. Skins? Still good (sponsorship-wise)

#Fun fact: Jaguars gave the same contract to Toby Gerhart that the Eagles gave to Darren Sproles this offseason: 3 years, $10.5 million.
