Provoke can be anything. Talking, spitting, hitting. In Stephen A's point he was talking about hitting. Either you listened to what he said or you didn't, this ain't hard to understand.

Dude it doesn't matter what he meant, it's about what he said. Like I originally stated he should of ended the statement with men and women shouldn't put their hands on each other. When you add the word provoke it leaves room for interpretation as well leaving the opportunity for people of abuse to take it the wrong way.

I haven't gone in twitter to find specific quotes but I can only imagine the levels of assumptions and jumping to conclusions the tweeters are posting. Headlines like this just breed it more than others. Social media stifles actual dialogue and with issues as sensitive as this one it is necessary
