Watt is not winning the MVP.

AR, Peyton, Luck and Brady are pretty much the only realistic choices.

Aaron Rodgers has MVP on lock imo.  he's approaching Marriota-heisman lock status assuming Packers get the 1seed, which is how it's looking

I agree with Watt not winning it, dude is definitely the best defensive player in the league if not the best overall player and has a huge impact on the game just not as big of an impact as AR12, PEYTON, LUCK OR BRADY

impressivegol impressivegol good info on RG3 ... Culpepper shouldn't be on that list tho, he found a way to stick around and have an 11 year career plus put up decent numbers 4-5 years straight. Not sure if Robert will be able to say that when it's all said and done.

I know he won't win it, but I think Watt deserves the MVP more than anybody else. He's done more as a DE this year, on both defense and offense, than some dudes do in a career..well maybe I'm exaggerating a lil bit, but the guy has been nothing less than a monster this season.

you're right i should've been more specific, Culpepper AFTER his major injury in 05.  i might've not said it in my first post, but of course RG3's injuries have contributed a lot to his diminishing play

nah he doesnt deserve it more, watt isnt leading his team to a division title and first round bye... but he is definitely the top 5 player in the nfl if not the best just isnt the most important or valuable...

By that definition a QB should basically win every year (which they do). I like the best player in the league winning it, then all positions have a shot

yeah MVP stands for most VALUBALE player not best player in the league, if you cant get your team to at least the playoffs you shouldnt win it

Watt has been great but I don't think he's been better than AR, Peyton, Luck or Brady or more valuable to his team.

I also don't care about Watt catching TDs. Means nothing. No other coaches do that and I hope they don't start doing that foolishness.

This whole Harbaugh - Niners front office situation is such a mystery.

Someone in the media asked Jim yesterday "which team will you be coaching Sunday?"

I know what it stands for. My point was I want the top award to go a different direction. Regardless if that would be Watt this year or not

JJ Watt is other worldly and an absolute monster, but in today's NFL, i'd rather have Gronkowski.

Amirite ? Could be wrong

Watt is a beast

it doesnt matter how good you are if you cant get your team to the playoffs you dont deserve it IMO, they have all pro teams and pro bowls for guys who are good on garbage teams

Maybe in basketball but far too many variables and players in football to put that on one player. Their impact is too limited

just cant see a player on a 6-10 team or 7-9 team winning an mvp, **** would be just wrong...

A defensive player isn't winning anyway so it's moot.  Maybe if the Texans were the #1 seed.
