Why does Seattle have the wild card over Dallas currently when Dallas beat them? Is the wild card spot tiebreaker not settled with H2H matches?

They don't. It's only if there is a 3 way tie for some reason I.e. Seattle Detroit dallas finish the season with the same record that Seattle and Detroit would get in over dallas because of the better conference record. But if Seattle and Dallas are the only two with the same record then Dallas wins the tie breaker.

so the nfl might expand playoffs and reseed :nerd:

Reseeding is a good idea. Expanding the playoffs isn't though but is probably inevitable because the NFL sees dollar signs.

I got no problem with an 8-8 Divison winner making the playoffs from time to time, but they shouldn't have the luxury of hosting a home playoff game against a 12-4 team just because they play in a watered down division while the 12-4 team is tied for the best record in the Conference but finished 2nd in their division due to some random games vs common opponents tiebreaker.

this. all of this.

If they expand, I wonder if there would be no more bye's for the first week of the playoff or if they would do a playoff wild card game similar to baseball. Not sure how that scheduling would work though.

If you are going to add playoff teams, I think you should only add 1 more wild card to each conference.. Only the top seed gets a bye

They're saying one idea is to expand to 14, still have the 1st round byes but also give 2 division champs in each conference home games. The other 8 teams would get seeded by win/loss

I remember reading before that they were talking about an extra seed for each conference and Monday night playoff games.

Everyone would play wild card weekend except the 1 seed. 2 would play 7, 3 would play 6, and 4 would play 5, and the 1 seed would play the lowest remaining seed like how it currently is.

I guess that's not bad. I agree that they should leave it the way it is, but if it's playoff expansion vs. 1 or 2 more weeks of the regular season then I'd prefer playoff expansion.

Can't lie...I'm excited to see what Manziel can do today. Might be most focused on that game of the early games.

Looks like a lot of crisp chilled weather across the land without snow. Some prime football weather.

Running the sweep on 3rd and 6

Get your FG blocked and brought back for a TD

Dolphins gonna Dolphins

How many times have i heard a complaint about thr pats stacking players?
What a turn of events

Conservative joe strikes again. Like if you don't trust Tannehill to convert on 3rd and 6 then draft someone else.
