There are very few people in the sports world I genuinely dislike and Kaepernick is one of them. I do my best to not be that guy but I can't help to love his current situation. As a Packer fan you couldn't say anything about him the last 2 years without everyone jumping on you with "you just hate him because he destroyed you" but that was never the reason. My reason was he got way ahead of himself with his ego and cockiness. There's times where you respect it and when you don't. Kaepernick acted like he's done it all. He had the mannerisms of a Pro Bowl, MVP, Super Bowl winning QB when he had none of that. He's always been average with average numbers who was gifted with the second best defense in the league and an offensive scheme that masked it. He confused defenses with his legs that took a few seconds to figure out at the Packers expense. He paid more attention to how he looks off the field. Now it's all crumbling and he's being exposed. His "I don't care what people think" attitude is about to backfire. He is no longer giving me the douche chills kissing his bicep as his 160 yard 1TD 1INT on 50% passing performance is in progress.

Probably the reason I was always a fan of Alex Smith. Never understood the hate. He's the opposite of everything I just said. He plays his game, he doesn't try to hide who he is a QB, keeps his mouth shut and does his business while sustaining enough success. Now he's seen as the better option. Everyone was bashing the wrong guy. Never thought Kaep was great nor did I respect him. I don't think Smith is great but I do respect him.

With that said, it's hard for me to hate. I've hated players before and allowed them to grow on me. Cutler is one of them. So we'll see.
